Good morning beautiful people,

I'm happy to be here today with this week's presentation and I must say the topic for this week is one that I love soo much. Special shoutout to @bertrayo for choosing such a wonderful and thoughtful theme for this week. The theme for this week is Traditional Music and for people that know me closely, they will know I'm a traditional person to some extent. I love to uphold some of our dying cultures and listen to some of our traditional music. The world is changing now and the Woke culture is making people forget their roots and where they come from. Our culture and traditions shouldn't just be forgotten. Just as our ancestors passed it down to us, we should also try to pass it down unto our children. That's why this topic makes me so happy because it gives me an opportunity to showcase a traditional music from my Culture and that's Yoruba culture. Though this song is not directly from my tribe it's still a part of my Culture. Under Yoruba, there are other mini tribes below like Ondo, Okun, Ilaje and many others. I belong to the Okun tribe while this song belongs to the Ondo tribe.

The song was sang by a Nigerian musician called Teni. She's from the Ondo tribe and the song is a traditional song from her tribe so she used the song as the chorus while she composed the remaining part of this "Uyo Meyo" song. The chorus says "Uyo Meyo leu, o San o kan mi o e" which means "I have rejoiced with you, now its my turn for you to Rejoice with me". It's a song of hope that when you Rejoice with people, so people will also celebrate you and Rejoice with you. So it's important to wish others good and Rejoice with others instead of feeling jealousy or having bad thoughts towards them.

Estoy feliz de estar aquí hoy con la presentación de esta semana y debo decir que el tema de esta semana es uno que me encanta. Un saludo especial a @bertrayo por elegir un tema tan maravilloso y reflexivo para esta semana. El tema de esta semana es Música tradicional y para las personas que me conocen de cerca, sabrán que soy una persona tradicional hasta cierto punto. Me encanta defender algunas de nuestras culturas moribundas y escuchar algo de nuestra música tradicional. El mundo está cambiando ahora y la cultura Woke está haciendo que las personas olviden sus raíces y de dónde vienen. Nuestra cultura y tradiciones no deben simplemente ser olvidadas. Así como nuestros antepasados nos lo transmitieron, también debemos tratar de transmitirlo a nuestros hijos. Es por eso que este tema me hace tan feliz porque me da la oportunidad de mostrar una música tradicional de mi cultura y esa es la cultura yoruba. Aunque esta canción no es directamente de mi tribu, sigue siendo parte de mi cultura. Bajo Yoruba, hay otras mini tribus debajo como Ondo, Okun, Ilaje y muchas otras. Yo pertenezco a la tribu Okun mientras que esta canción pertenece a la tribu Ondo.

La canción fue cantada por un músico nigeriano llamado Teni. Ella es de la tribu Ondo y la canción es una canción tradicional de su tribu, por lo que usó la canción como coro mientras componía la parte restante de esta canción "Uyo Meyo". El coro dice "Uyo Meyo leu, o San o kan mi o e", que significa "Me he regocijado contigo, ahora es mi turno para que te regocijes conmigo". Es una canción de esperanza de que cuando te regocijas con la gente, la gente también te celebrará y se regocijará contigo. Por lo tanto, es importante desear el bien a los demás y regocijarse con los demás en lugar de sentir celos o tener malos pensamientos hacia ellos.
