English Version

I previously uploaded a video of the tutorial made by @promete0sz, to sing the “Song of Orpheus” in Greek. He wrote to me that I should have sung it. The truth is that it's embarrassing to sing because I don't have a good voice, but I told him it was okay, and I decided to try to perform the song he had recommended.

When I listened to The Orpheus' Song, it reminded me a lot of “Agora Non” because of the emotional charge it carries. It is a very sad lullaby (in my opinion), originating from Asturias, Spain. It is about someone (possibly the mother) singing to her little child or baby to put him to sleep, remembering that the father died in the mountains and was a very good person.

There is no official version, but since it is sung a cappella, each person will give it their own feeling when performing it, and sometimes the lyrics vary a little. Here are two examples that I like.

You can find more if you look for them. Based on these, I have tried to interpret the rhythm in which they sing it. Although I didn't sing it very well (you have been warned, I am not responsible if you go deaf 😁😁).

Here are the lyrics. Asturian sounds very similar to Spanish, so the pronunciation isn't that complicated:

The lullaby we know in Latin America is very different. It encourages us to go to sleep, otherwise the bogeyman will come and eat us. Who isn't going to sleep?

Anteriormente subí una video rección del tutorial realizado por @promete0sz, para cantar en griego la “Canción de Orfeo”. El me escribió que debí haberla cantado. La verdad es que da pena cantar porque no tengo buena voz, pero le comenté que está bien, y decidí hacer el intento para interpretar la canción que le había recomendado.

Al escuchar de The Orphe’s Song, me recordó mucho “Agora Non”, por la carga sentimental que hay en ella. Es una canción de cuna muy triste (a mi parecer), es una nana proveniente de Asturias – España. Trata de alguien (posiblemente la madre), cantando a su pequeño niño o bebe, para dormirlo, recuerda que el padre murió en la montaña, y era muy buena persona.

No hay una versión oficial, pero en si se canta a capela, cada quien le dará el sentimiento propio al interpretarla y a veces la letra varia un poco. Acá les muestro dos ejemplos que han gustado.

Se pueden conseguir más, si llegan a buscar. En base a estas, he tratado más o menos de hacer una interpretación al ritmo que la cantan. Aunque no la canté tan bien que se diga (Están avisados, no me hago responsable si quedan sordos 😁😁).

Les comparto la letra. El asturiano suena muy similar al español, por eso la pronunciación no es tan complicada:

La canción de cuna que conocemos en Latinoamérica, es muy diferente, nos motiva a dormir, sino vendrá el coco a comernos. ¿Quién no se va a dormir?
