Saludos querida comunidad, estamos en la semana No. 169 del Hive Open Mic, una vez más por aquí les dejo un tema que me encanta, se trata del Polo como género del oriente venezolano, dando gracias al artista destacado @jasperdick con la temática "War". En esta oportunidad me acompañan Leonardo Zerpa en la Mandolina y Yanelvis Castellanos en las maracas, mi usuario @geronimamunoz.

Según el libro del Maestro Jesús Pollo Bellorín, titulado "Guía Didáctica para el conocimiento y aprendizaje del Galerón y otros Cantos Tradicionales", el Polo como género musical es de origen neoespartano, su estructura literaria es en forma de cuarteta, redondilla, cuarteto o serventesio. "...Sus estrofas pueden ser de arte menor o arte mayor".

Ejemplo:

"En el arte del cantar
el valor de quien se faja
lo define la ventaja
de saber improvisar"

En esta estrofa antes descrita, se describe la forma de redondilla que rima el primer verso con el cuarto y el segundo con el tercero, cada verso es una linea y constan de ocho (8) sílabas. Dentro de los grandes intérpretes del Polo tenemos a nuestra querida Maestra María Rodríguez con el Polo "Los dos Titanes", Paula Nuñez, Deisy Gutierrez y en Carúpano con el "Polo Canchuchuero" el Indio Rivera y Luis Mariano Rivera, en Caracas a Francisco Pacheco, Oscar Lista, Omar Lista, entre otros.

Aparte, puedo destacar a Cecilia Tood, Gualberto Ibarreto, José Elías "Chelías" Villarroel, Francisco Mata, Soledad Bravo, Lucienne Sanabria, José Ágreda, José Ramón Villarroel (El Huracán del Caribe), Marisela Querales y muchos más que enaltecen nuestro gentilicio.

Según la experiencia que he tenido a lo largo de estos años, la estructura del polo siempre es la misma desde el punto de vista armónico, lo que varía es la forma que le imprime cada cantor por ejemplo, cada quien le coloca su sello personal, varía en el tempo, más rápido en Carúpano y Cumaná que lo hacen estribilla´o a diferencia de la Isla de Margarita que es un poco más lento y cadencioso.

Por otra parte, en el contenido de las estrofas que les canto, puedo vincular la guerra que existe en cada uno de nosotros como seres humanos, la palabra tiene poder cuando hablamos con voz clara, precisa y determinante. Por otra parte, es importante, reclamar con propiedad tus derechos sobre cualquier circunstancia de vida que te inviten a superar las dificultades.

Aparte, existen otros momentos cuando la guerra pasa y nos conectamos con la alegría y el renacimiento, volver a nacer como el gusano que sale de su capullo como dice el texto de la canción, "sale de su prisión de seda y se convierte en linda mariposa"...

Esta temática "War", me invita a reflexionar que cada quien tiene una forma diferente de percibir la vida, al mismo tiempo, confrontarse internamente en algunos momentos desde la guerra y en otros desde la paz, en conclusión todos podemos viajar a través de la poesía, canciones, historias, vivencias para pisar fondo y luego emerger como la garza que vuela sobre el mar, nos genera un mayor aprendizaje, desarrollo y fortaleza desde lo individual y como comunidad, sigamos adelante, venciendo las dificultades.

According to the experience that I have had throughout these years, the structure of the polo is always the same from the harmonic point of view, what varies is the form that each singer gives it, for example, each one puts his personal seal, it varies in the tempo, faster in Carúpano and Cumaná that make it estribilla'o as opposed to Margarita Island that is a little slower and cadenced.

On the other hand, in the content of the stanzas that I sing, I can link the war that exists in each of us as human beings, the word has power when we speak with a clear, precise and decisive voice. On the other hand, it is important, to claim with ownership your rights over any circumstance of life that invites you to overcome difficulties.

Besides, there are other moments when the war passes and we connect with joy and rebirth, reborn like the worm that comes out of its cocoon as the text of the song says, "comes out of its silk prison and becomes a beautiful butterfly" ....

This theme "War", invites me to reflect that everyone has a different way of perceiving life, at the same time, to confront internally in some moments from the war and in others from peace, in conclusion we can all travel through poetry, songs, stories, experiences to step on the bottom and then emerge as the heron that flies over the sea, it generates a greater learning, development and strength from the individual and as a community, let's move forward.
