Picking some 1977 classics for our DailyJams on this seventies Sunday bonus post!

We spend a lot of time picking Ramones & Blondie tunes so today we focus on two other bands that came out of the CBGB’s seventies scene! We both pick debut albums released in 1977 for our tunes!

Ashlee picks the Talking Heads & the first release from the band “Talking Heads 77”
Picking the classic song “Psycho Killer” as DailyJam & for BonusJam the deeper cut “New Feeling”.

I (Gene) pick the Dead Boys 1977 album “Young, Loud and Snotty” And I know I’ve picked the album opener “Sonic Reducer” before but it’s so good I go with it for my DailyJam! For BonusJam I go with a never featured before tune “Not Anymore”.

I wonder if the Talking Heads ever heard Out Of Limits. New Feeling gives me the feeling that they did. :)

Then again, is there really anything new under the sun? So much influencing and borrowing in music, the arts, religion, philosophy, basically anything people do.

And thanks for The Dead Boys. Always happy to hear them again.

Dead Boys are new to me, not too bad. Of course Talking Heads are legendary, what a cool song! Good old David Byrne sure created an amazing band back in the late 70's! Great job brother!
