🎸 FiveTuneFriday! On Nineties Friday! 🎺 Ska Band Picks! Nineties Vlog & Tunes! 🎙️
On this #NinetiesFriday I’m picking songs from the late nineties Ska 🎺 scene (The Third Wave). It’s #FiveTuneFriday on Nineties Friday! Ska originally comes from Jamaica and was very different. By the third wave of it in the late nineties it was rock or punk vibes with added horns. Definitely watered down but frankly I loved a lot of these songs in this late nineties scene!

We take a song off there 1992 album showing these scenes that get mainstream attention usually have already been brewing for years prior. Also going with a couple 2000 releases from the band Less Than Jake and there album that was recorded in 1999 but not released until a year later. Also the band Catch 22 and there nineties Ska vibe from there second album released in 2000…

It’s #NinetiesFriday and I’m hoping this builds into something similar to #ThreeTuneTuesday where we have many people involved! But I gotta start so here we go! I will give 3 basic income units to a winning random post every week who uses the #NinetiesFriday tag. Also @thebighigg has jumped in to match for 6 total weekly prize! If anyone else wants to sponsor with any amount of units let me know or just send if you don’t wanna commit to weekly 👍
Some ideas are music, movies, television, sports, or really anything Nineties related. I assume movie or tv or music topic reviews or talk will be most common, but you could also talk a sports memory or something else. Think the Pop Culture of the times, but it would be great to hear about little known and interesting bands or entertainment items. Don’t forget to use tag #NinetiesFriday
Last weeks winner of 6 HSBI is @actioncats with this rad post! ⬇️

Not bad! Ur second of the day! @thebighigg 🎸
Some great tunes, I hadn't heard that No Doubt song in years, back in their ska days. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, loved it, as well as Reel Big Fish!
It's funny how much No Doubt changed when Gwen's brother left the band and she took over songwriting, from ska to punk!
