4/26/24 NinetiesFriday! šļø This Weeks NinetiesFriday Itās Music Based! Talking 10 songs I Think Should Of Had More Mainstream Success šø
Good Morning Hive friends! It's Friday, friends, and that means itās #NinetiesFriday!
Whatever you find yourself wanting to post about is all good! It just has to be Nineties! Iām thinking my posts will be mostly Nineties music talk or album reviews but also movies or TV talk or reviews. Basically no rules, just gotta be Nineties!
And use the tag #NinetiesFriday
Iām hoping this builds into something similar to ThreeTuneTuesday where we have many people involved! But I gotta start with myself so here we go! Similar to TTT, I will give a basic Income Unit to a post every week. If itās just me and one other person to start, theyāll get it. Eventually I hope more will get involved and we can grow it.
Itās probably just gonna be me this week, but you gotta start somewhere!
Some ideas are music, movies, television, sports, or really anything Nineties related. I assume movie or tv or music topic reviews or talk will be most common, but you could also talk a sports memory or something else. Think the Pop Culture of the times, but it would be great to hear about little known and interesting bands or entertainment items. Donāt forget to use tag #NinetiesFriday

Iāll be talking some nineties bands/songs below but First off! Thanks to our surprise #NinetiesFriday authors last week!
I wasnāt expecting anyone to jump in last week and was promoting for this week but we had two awesome authors! @dfinney & @thebighigg
Check out there posts below along with the BasicIncome giveaway Iāll be doing every Friday!

I said I would reward the first five people to post using #NinetiesFriday tag so the next three will be sent some! But also Iāll pick one post a week to reward the author going forward regularly!
This week I will be talking about five bands/songs (plus bonus picks later) that I think should have been hits commercially but instead are little known. For various reasons all different these catchy tunes never got the mainstream play they deserved. I discuss below!
YouTube edited out a minute due to a copyrighted claim, feel free to listen on 3Speak instead šā¬ļø
Iām including YouTube link just in case 3Speak is glitching.
Seems 3Speak is working well! š
First up itās the band āSpring Heeled Jackā and there song āJoleneā from the 1998 album āSongs from Suburbiaā
Then second up itās the band āNo Use For A Nameā and the song āSoulmateā from the 1995 album āLeche Con Carneā
Third up itās the band āMillencollinā from good ole Sweden & there song āNo Cigarā from the 2000 released record āPennybridge Pioneersā
Or from the same album the song "Penguins And Polar Bears"
Fourth up itās the band MxPx who frankly got screwed by there label 3 times! Itās the worst luck ever as I discuss above. Iāll share two tracks, ā Iām Ok Youāre Okā from there 1998 release
Along with 2000 release āMy Life Story
Last up itās the band āSaves The Dayā and two songs from the 1999 release āThrough Being Coolā check out the songs āShoulder To The Wheelā & āHolly Hox, Forget Me Notsā
A mix of reasons why these bands didnāt get there 15 minutes of fame. No Use For A Name it was definitely the record label. MxPx same, sometimes it can happen even with label support so who knows. But I could hear these songs being at least one hit wonders if things went a little different.
Iām going to add a couple (ended up doing 5 more) bonus picks below for you music freaks who canāt get enough!

Song - Come Along Sorry Ass,
Weāre Going Places
