Ashlee’s Three Tune Tuesday Takeover! Band Spotkight! MEST!

It’s Three Tune Tuesday & as usual Gene (@geneeverett) did a solo post so I’m taking over this post today! It’s all Ashlee’s tunes! Taking a page from Gene I’m picking a band from Chicago. I went with the band Mest and will be picking a song off each there first three albums plus bonus pick off there fourth record.

Mest was a Pop-Punk band who came up in the same scene as bands like Good Charlotte but they never got the commercial success there friends did. Even releasing four albums on major label Maverick Records they just never broke mainstream wise. Mest was a late nineties/2000’s band heavily influenced by bands like Green Day & Blink 182.

First up it’s a tune off the year 2000 major label debut record “Wasting Time”

Going with the song Hotel Room! 🎸

Next up for second tune it’s a song from the following record 2001’s “Destination Unknown” the bands second album released on major label Maverick Records.

I go with the song Opinions! 🎸

Third tune up is from the following album going in order 2003’s Self Titled Album “Mest” this record includes a bigger budget but still very little mainstream success. By this time there friends in bigger bands had blown up in the mainstream like Good Charlotte & New Found Glory but the success didn’t rub off even though Mest was taking out on tour to open for these huge bands.

And for bonus pick it’s a song off the last of four major label releases. A song off the 2005 released “Photographs”
