This Thursday morning we’ll be picking our DailyJams from the 2000’s Alt scene! Aka ALT2K tunes!

Ashlee picks the band Matt & Kim
And two songs off the 2009 album Grand. Picking the song Daylight for her DailyJam. For bonus Jam it’s the song Cutdown.

Gene goes with the band Foster The People and two songs off there 2010 album Torches. For DailyJam picking the song “Helena Beat” which was a single but didn’t have a fraction the mainstream success of bonus jam “Pumped Up Kicks” which oddly or not was a huge pop radio mainstream hit! Some may call the band one hit wonders but I think the song Helena Beat should have been a huge hit also. Sometimes no matter how good or catchy the mainstream success just doesn’t happen and sometimes it does when it makes no sense.
