Hello guys trust you had a wonderful week. Today, I will be doing a cover of My Help by Brooklyn Tabernacle choir. Before I kick off, I want to bid a special thank you to @lordbutterfly for this wonderful opportunity to express ourselves through the art of music.
This song has been more like an anthem for me this week because my week has been so exhausting it like everywhere I turn, there’s some sort of problem or the other. It was like I had so much to do and my body kept fighting me at every point. I would wake up feeling cold, weak or just feeling so pessimistic to do anything. It like every day, I come to accept the race of school was just too demanding for me, it was just like the saying “The more you look the less you see” (a quote from Robert Browning’s poem 1855), except mine was more like the harder I work, the less result I get. The other day at choir rehersals, my choir director starting singing the song in between our closing prayers and I had not even realized when burst into tear. In times where I do not have the word to explain how hard I have been getting it from life or even when people do not understand God is and will always by my first and last resort, MY HELP.

Here is the lyrics to the song…….

I will lift up mine eyes to the hills
From whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord,
The Lord which made heaven and earth
He said, He would not suffer thy foot,
Thy foot to be moved
The Lord that keepeth thee,
He will not slumber nor sleep
Oh the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand, upon thy right hand
No the sun shall not smite thee by day,
Nor the moon by night
He shall preserve thy soul, even forevermore
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
I will lift up mine eyes to the hills
From whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord,
The Lord which made heaven and earth
He said, He would not suffer thy foot,
Thy foot to be moved
The Lord that keepeth thee,
He will not slumber nor sleep
Oh the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand, upon thy right hand
No the sun shall not smite thee by day,
Nor the moon by night
He shall preserve thy soul, even forevermore
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
Oh the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade
Upon thy right hand, upon thy right hand
No the sun shall not smite thee by day,
Nor the moon by night
He shall preserve thy soul, even forevermore
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
Lift up mine eyes unto the hills
All of my help cometh from the Lord
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills
From whence cometh my help
All of my help cometh from the Lord
Gonna keep my eyes on You Lord
I won't look to the left, I won't look to right
I'll stay focused on You Jesus
All of my help cometh from the Lord
My help, my help, my help,
All of my help cometh from the Lord
I lift up my eyes
I look to the hills (He is my strength)
All of my help cometh from the Lord
