Hello eveyone. I would love to share some of my favorite songs with all of you. As a Filipino, I am proud of how Filipino singers have great voices and are able to create such beautiful songs, and I hope you will try to listen to them.

Growing up, I was surrounded by people who loved singing. My mother always sings me a song to keep me calm and to help me sleep. My father also showcases his voice during family occasions. My sister also loves to sing, even though she had my ear cracking😹 Just kidding. My cousins are great singers too.
Every time I feel sad, I would lock myself in our room, put my headphones in, and listen to OPM songs while singing. Songs are my escape. I feel better when I hear some slow, beautiful, and meaningful songs.

One of the top Filipino songs that I have loved the most ever since I was a little kid was "Alipin ako" by Liezel Garcia. It's a heartbreaking song, yet I found it so beautiful. I can even hear the sadness of that person in the lyrics of the song. I can tell that the person was really hurt for loving someone who doesn't even care about him/her. The lyrics tell how love can make you weak and powerless. This song has always been a masterpiece for me. Even though I was just a kid at the time and knew nothing about love. I can feel how sad the person in the lyrics of the song is.

Second is "Narda" by Kamikazee, a Filipino rock band. I don't know much about the lyrics of this song, but I always sang it in some karaoke stations. My friends and I would even hold the microphone while singing together and laughing at each other's voice.

Next is "Mahal Kita Pero" by Janella Salvador. This song is about a girl who loves someone but is not yet ready for commitment due to her family and, of course, for her future. This song brought a lot of memories of my past. I still remember the time that I would sing it in front of my family while acting as if I'm rapping. My friends and I would even find ways to play it on our TV while singing together.

And lastly, "Ikaw" by Yeng Constantino. This song is so beautiful that I wanted to scream it out of my lungs. It has beautiful lyrics, and it is about a person who was in love and was grateful for meeting the person that she would love for her entire life. I always play this song on a rainy day and if I am alone.

All these songs have built me some great memories from the past. Not only have I learned to sing them, but I also kind of understand how love could give us different emotions and feelings in different situations. I have learned that if you truly love someone, you are willing to accept heartbreak or even rejection because love is not just about happiness; it's about how you are willing to sacrifice your happiness just to make that person happy.

Ah Yeng was one of my favorite and indeed famous.
Here song was always relatable and she is one of the example that you could still be famous without that hitting high notes
