Sixty-two years ago, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones met for the first time after a Stones concert in Richmond, England, on April 14, 1963.

Since then, there has been a clear divide between those who favor one band or the other, leaving those who enjoy both in limbo.

However, on that day, the two great rock bands met and shared an unexpected moment.

At the time, the Beatles had already scored two number ones in the British charts with “Please Please Me” and “From Me to You,” while the Rolling Stones would still have to wait 14 months to achieve their first hit with “It's All Over Now.”

Both groups were in the early stages of their respective careers.

After the show, the Rolling Stones joined the Beatles to enjoy a few beers and listen to another band, whose name has not been recorded.

Afterwards, they all headed to the house where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones lived, where they spent the evening playing the blues and talking about music, cementing a friendship.

Despite rumors of rivalry, the truth is that George Harrison recommended the Stones to Decca Records, helping them on their way to success.

Thus, the two most emblematic rock bands shared a magical night, unaware that they would become legends admired by millions.
