On 4 March 1985, ‘Metal Heart’, the sixth studio album by the iconic German heavy metal band Accept, was released.
This album represents a turning point in the band's career, as it was the first work produced by Dieter Dierks, who was also the owner of Dierks Studios, where Accept had recorded their previous two albums.
Furthermore, ‘Metal Heart’ marked the return of guitarist Jörg Fischer, who had left the band in 1981, which brought a new dynamic to the band's sound.
Unlike its predecessor, this album was characterised by more commercial lyrics, with the aim of achieving a wider distribution in the competitive US market.
Despite their efforts to reach a wider audience, ‘Metal Heart’ only made it into the top 100 of the Billboard 200.
Nevertheless, the album is considered one of Accept's best and a classic in the heavy metal genre.

The track list features iconic songs such as ‘Metal Heart’, ‘Midnight Mover’ and ‘Screaming for a Love-Bite’, which have stood the test of time.
The album features the outstanding participation of Udo Dirkschneider on vocals, Wolf Hoffmann on electric and acoustic guitar, Jörg Fischer on guitar, Peter Baltes on bass and Stefan Kaufmann on drums.
‘Metal Heart continues to be a benchmark in metal history, cementing Accept's legacy in music.
