What the bloody fuck

Sometimes you just have to say, "what the bloody fuck!"

- G-dog -

These heinous tracks have all been recipients of the what the bloody fuck phrase and if you dare give them a listen you'll know why. Don't worry, it's ok if you actually like these tracks, you're allowed to have your own opinions, but for me they're all, what the bloody fuck moments.

☹️ ☹️ ☹️

Here's the first track from the dark years that were the 1990's. This WTBF track was released in 1991 and if you click the link, watch and listen to it I'm pretty sure you'll say, what the bloody fuck.

😖 😖 😖

Here's another from those shadowy years, released in 1997. Trust me, this WTBF track isn't much better than the first, however I'm going to say it's marginally better because the brunette "singer," Lene Nystrøm, is cute.

😫 😫 😫

Here's another, arguably the worst, from the darkness that was the 1990's and one has to wonder if this was the one that dimmed the lights initially considering it was released in 1990 at the beginning of the years of darkness. Listening to this WTBF track is sure to dumb you down to less than fifty percent of your current IQ. Listen with caution.

You may have heard these tracks before, or not, however if you dared to listen to them I am interested in your feedback. You can critique each of them in some intellectual way, measuring their pros and cons...or you can just say, what the bloody fuck. Either way, feel free to comment below if you've got something to say...or even add your own #WTBF track.

Most excellent choices for a black list.

I was smiling through the beginning of #1, full blown loling when I recognized #2 and then came #3 -arrrrgh WTBF!!!

Hubby heard the second one and said you got to listen to a spoofed version of it (Jersey…) so of course we had to.

Thank you very much!

I wasn't sure how this post will be received but figured I might as well bring some horrendous music to the ears of those who may not have heard it before. I'm hoping others drop their own #WTBF track in the comments section...I can think of a few that should be in the list, but these three? Yeah, not legit but leshit!

That last one though...It has to be up there in the all time top three worst right?

You rule!! These are definitely on the WTBF list!

#1 Ewwww. You gotta be sexy to sing that. Fail.
#2 I couldn't finish it. Good Grief.
#3 Thew one-hit-wonder boy...

I'm not sure I would be proud of even knowing these... WTBF?

Haha, yeah I figured I'd just have a little fun with my post today...bring something terrible to the lives of others.

It's quote amazing how well these songs did from a commercial perspective, much like the Macarena and Crazy frog song as well. (Remember them?) I'm not sure if it's marketing brilliance, or an indication that humans really will buy anything.

I'm not sure I would be proud of even knowing these...

Well, you know them, probably did before my post too, so you'll have to work out if it's pride you feel, or something else entirely.

Thanks for your comment, I hope you're well.

You think? :) It is marketing brilliance for sure, although I have to just say that there are a lot of country songs that I could put on this list to keep his Achy Breaky Heart from getting lonely.

You hit the nail on the head. Humans will buy anything, especially if someone tells them its a hit.

Nevertheless, this was fun.

a lot of country songs that I could put on this list to keep his Achy Breaky Heart from getting lonely.

I agree, there's some terrible ones for sure...but then, anything from Cardi B, Fifty Cent, Michael Bolton and Dustin Beaver and many others could also be on the list so it's not a genre thing.

All of those are trash. I agree. Also William Hungs "She Bangs"

Worst ever. It totally should win. You know, I forgot how many bad songs there are!

So many bad songs...I might do a #weekend-Engagement topic on it.

Yes!! That would be fun. Oh, you would have to read and listen to all of them!

Do it!! :)

Oh, you would have read and listen to all of them!

I'll employ some official listeners because I don't think I'd be able to do it all myself.

I think that is so smart. Why didn't I think of that for myself?

I’m going to have fun listening to these in a few minutes when the little man falls asleep.

I’ve got a song for you, and I can think of one other one that’s horrible but I don’t know if I want it associated with my web search history.. lol

This one’s pretty brutal lol let me know what you think

Oh man, you just fucken destroyed my ears with that shit! Bad? No man, that word doesn't cut it. I wonder how many people bought that track...knowing humans as I do, probably quite a lot.

There's some terrible music out there and some of it has done really well commercially...I'm hoping a few users drop their own choices into this comment thread, it could be funny.

Enjoy the three tracks I linked...and remember, you chose to listen to them of your own free will. 😁

Hahaha I don't know if it's bad but I knew all 3 songs! It's been a long time since I've heard the first one, I don't mind the second one and the third one they used to play at school dances when I was a kid :D

I purposely chose ones I thought most would know and I'll admit to having some fun searching through some of the other more heinous tracks from back then as it took me back to my younger days of saying, #WTBF

Hahaha that's good, I will admit though, the first one had me cracking up. It's been a long time since I've heard the song but I've never watched the video! That video is insane hahaha

I think that's the best of the bunch...a couple dudes just fucking around and not taking themselves too seriously...but it's still bad!

Lol...I wasn't sure if people would simply think I'm (more) bonkers...but I decided to do it anyway, this place is all about fun after all.

I chose one's I hoped some would know, but also wanted to introduce some to those who hadn't heard such terrible music in their lives before. 😀

I was half expecting Ricky Martin "she bangs" to show up here. You know what. Although achy breaky heart was probably his biggest hit, I Personally think that could've been me is probably his best song and is severely under rated. It's quite possibly your stereotypical perfect country song. Then he goes and does old town road..

Oh man, I forgot about that one...it could have been for sure!

I think Billy Ray was half taking it serious and half not...maybe figuring he call call it a joke if it backfired. As it turned out it was a pretty good commercial success. I'm noty familiar with must of his other stuff.

Yep, all of them are ones I remember and when I hear them now say "WTF?"

I really liked the idea behind this post though. Wish I could come up with a song with a WTBF. Just not able to think of one but then I thought of this beauty.

This post is all about me just having some fun, I need a bit; I think you get it.

Also, I wanted to bring some users on the blockchain some truly diabolical tunes for my own general amusement and I hoped a few others would also...and here you are with a fucken gem, one of the most horrid soggs of all time. Kudos man.

And...it reminded me of this other one...I think you'll know it.

  1. I remember that track, and remember my friend's older brother drunkenly singing it to his girlfriend who had a face like whatever while my friend and I tried to work out what was going on in his brain XD
  2. I feel like they deliberately made it as a #wtbf song, I remember watching the music video ages ago and thinking it didn't look like anyone was taking themselves seriously and they were having way too much fun about it
  3. did not like

Making a whole ass list would never have occurred to me, I have this really bad habit of just skipping over and ignoring things I don't like XD

I think all of these tracks were tongue-in-cheek #WYBF tracks to be honest...maybe Billy Ray Cyrus took it more seriously though...What a nutbag...and his daughter isn't much better.

I have this really bad habit of just skipping over and ignoring things I don't like

I do this with people a lot. Also, I don't go out of my way to listen to bad music, my life means more to than that, but I enjoyed searching for these horrific pieces of music and there's so many more, some of which are finding their way into this comment thread.

Classic #WTBF tracks. I will happily admit to drunkenly dancing to two out of the three. :OD

Haha, well they were all popular in their day, which defies logic, so I'm sure you're not the only one who danced to them.

It totally defies logic. Sometimes I think record companies were having a laugh. Except with Billy Ray Cyrus that was just pure evil!

0

I think so. I mean these repetitive songs, manufactured artists, seem to make some cash, and they're still doing it, the record labels.

Spice girls, Kylie Minogue, the boy bands, girl bands (remember Bananarama and S Club 7) and all sorts of artists...Fucken Rick Astley? It seems all one needs to do is come up with a catchy tune, repeat it many times and sprinkle on some marketing dust and boom...it's a hit.

Billy Ray though? There's a special place in hell for that mullet-wearing mother fucker.

Lol. When I was reading this, the first track you choose popped into my head.
It's bloody crazy how many views they all have.
I totally agree that they are all bloody awful, yet I knew them all and some of the lyrics, that's the power of pop music.
Here's another two for you xx

You've added two excellent #wtbf tracks indeed. Cotton Eye Joe...man I've not heard that for ages...and Aqua features once again, there's clearly a reason. 😋

These sort of tracks are so terrible, but like you say...popular too.

Damn, my girls heard me playing your shit songs and now the three of them are singing Barbie Girl, I'm in for a long day. Sad party is I bloody well joined in at one part, lose the run of myself I did lol.
Yeah Aqua, seriously though its feckin crazy how bad they were. Xx

I know all the clues hahaha. They are from my time, I couldn't help but laugh at how bad they are, letters that have no content, pure marketing.

It strikes me how such songs could succeed, totally empty of meaning.

They should definitely be blacklisted, but people consumed them in their time and they became famous.... what would be on those heads? Don't know.

Especially the first two... I said to myself... this can't be, what the hell! ha ha

You surprised me with this post and it made me laugh a lot, great!

I wonder where these people are now, the ones who sang these songs? Living in luxury in the Riviera? Maybe.

They're terrible songs really, but they were all very popular.

I wanted to have some fun with my post today and seemed like a good way to do it.

And it wasn't just you who had fun, I think everyone who read the post had fun too, it was great.

Terrible songs.... the women who listened to the second one... will they be Barbie? hahahaha

Hahaha those were huge when they came out. I've never liked Barbie girl, it's awful. The other two I never really understood the appeal, but each to their own if that's what they are into, just definitely not in my house 🤣

Here's one for your list. The music video is super cringe too.

Haha, Marky Mark!

One of my favourite actors and a pretty legit business man these days but...yeah, that track! This one is right up there with Will Smith's Gettin' Jiggy with it. #WTBF

Hahahaha. I remember all these songs, too. I'm not even going to rank these, because that'd be futile.

There are, undoubtedly, a great number of other WTBF songs, but these are really awesome samples. I applaud you for having the intestinal fortitude to hunt these down. Well played.

Haha, yeah it was a bit dangerous, chasing these tracks down, as I had to listen to a few other terrible ones to narrow it down. I survived though, and the post is on th blockchain forever. 😊
