Sunday sounds (on Tuesday)

you r cunty.jpg

I love my weekends and Sunday's in particular as it's generally the only day I allow myself a little sleep in and whether I have plans or not the day seems relaxed, wholesome and regenerating to my soul. Throughout my day, as most days, I use music to enhance my mood, to match it to and underline how I feel. I'm sharing a few tracks in this post, so if you care to click the below links you'll find some tracks that feel right on Sunday's, to me at least.

There's something about Sunday's that makes it feel right to start with a nice breakfast. I usually get up early (but later than I do every other day) and make my way to the kitchen to prepare Sunday Morning breakfast that usually comes back to bed where my girl-person and I enjoy quiet moments chatting. We make an effort to do that each week although sometimes breakfast is a little more elaborate and we eat at the table.

From there we move into the day which could mean gardening, DIY around the house, hiking or kayaking, four-wheel-drive adventures, the art gallery, lunches, picnics, drives into the country to find antique shops and quaint cafés, plant nurseries and bakeries and sometimes days spent inside snuggled on the couch watching movies. What we look for is an Easy day, meaning one in which stress is low and enjoyment is high. No matter what we do, we're focused on togetherness, comfort and contentment and simple experience-based things that bring meaning to us.

We don't always plan to do things on Sundays and when we do we understand that plans don't always work out. We understand that we need to be flexible; planning a picnic only to wake up and find that it's Raining on Sunday means we may need to come up with something new, or nothing at all, and that's where innovation and a sense of fun and adventure comes in...but that's also when staying home and making our own kind of fun happens too.

✳️ Here's a link to YouTube where you'll find all three in a single YouTube playlist.

These three tracks, Maroon Five, Faith No More and Keith Urban respectively, are all cool, easy-to-listen-to Sunday-themed, tracks and each of them reside in my Spotify playlists somewhere. There's others of course, many others, but these feel most appropriate for a post about Sunday music.

If you're keen, tell me about your Sunday sessions...what do you do, how does your day proceed and do you have a mission and ideal outcome for it? I know many work so much that Sunday is simply a rest day and that's ok too, let me know how Sunday's roll out for you...or just comment on the music if you listened to it.

Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default; tomorrow isn't promised so be humble and kind - galenkp

Wow! That's a lovely Sunday you had. Thanks for sharing this content with us here, well, to me, Sunday has always been a free working day for me when I can visit and spend time with my loved once because mostly my weekend is full of assignments. You know, having someone to hold on to on Sunday morning and have a chat with beautiful breakfast is always the best way to enjoy the day. I think Sunday is a special day made by God to enjoy with our family ones for those that have been away for work even during the weekend.

Sundays are pretty good indeed, I enjoy them and like listening to some music, which is what this post is about I guess. Music.

Damn! Alright, I have a confession. My heartbeat became different the moment I heard these tunes... Geez, I am in love. And now, I do believe love, at first sight, is real.

Thanks for this beauty. I have got another awesome addition to my playlist. Cool!

Real smooth. I like how it ends with "raining on Sunday". That rain didn't ruin anyone's plans. It just made the day a little more special.

I've had some pretty nice moments in the rain...admittedly, some terribly miserable ones too...but rain doesn't have to ruin a person's day; with a paradigm shift it can enhance it.

I really like all these tracks and think most people could hear them and pick at least one they thought was ok. They're smooth.

Well, I don't know the other ones but Maroon Five is great. You can never go wrong!!!
Well, my birthday was on Sunday so I was at home and could not go out because it rained. I had a very lovely day though because I listened to Wizkid throughout

Very good listening. Each of them is a great choice for listening on any day, but especially Sunday.

My Sunday is usually like most of my days. They all run together anymore. It used to be my rest day, but since retiring early they are all rest days for the most part. I need to make Sunday special again.

Oh man, you have to make Sunday into something special...It's easy to do it too, just set some plans like maybe a special breakfast or lunch that you take some time to prepare and enjoy. Something out of the ordinary. It could work in well with your rime management process.

Wowww what great songs!!! I know the first two very well and I love them!
The last one is the first time I listen to it and it's great!

I have to choose, the second one haha it fascinates me, the simple, the simple, the little things in life, the details make the difference and even the little words said at the right moment.... I write while I keep listening to it, music always inspires me.

My Sundays? They are much more relaxed without so much schedule but I also do a lot of things. A special meal, an outing or walk, a small family get together and of course walking Tony (my cat) I enjoy that a lot. Cata is more nervous, she doesn't go for walks but I play with her a lot, she is my queen.
I listen to a lot of different music and I like to write.

Here the museums are free on Sundays from 4pm and I love to go from time to time, I enjoy it a lot, sometimes I do that plan or just a walk in the gardens of the city.

Fabulous food, so good! Thanks Galen😀

Great selection of songs! I remember when that Maroon 5 album came out. I think I played it over and over again in the CD Changer I installed in my car. Great stuff. I get up at 4:45 each morning, so anything past that is sleeping in for me. No matter how hard we try, 7:30 or 8:00 is usually about as late as we get on the weekends. We are usually in a rush to get to work during the week, so Saturday and Sunday we take things a little slower and try to make a big breakfast.

They're cool right?

I'm a big fan of Marron 5's stuff and I did the same with that album, and still do. Lol.

On the early wake-ups. I'm up early too, by habit and by choice. I'd usually run...but with a little health hiccup I'm not doing that right now. I'm still up early though, it's the only way I can fit everything into my day. I think your and my weekends are quite similar, slower on Saturday and Sunday although I often hit the gun range on Saturdays and that's rarely slow. Sunday's are though.

There is the occasion we have stuff we want to get done or we are out of town, but I really enjoy those lazy Saturday's and Sundays at home. Especially during the winter when I can just lay on the couch and watch football.

Yep, I do the same...we get the NFL live here. (It's summer here though of course.)

Very nice easy and smooth listens. Mellow music like that is definitely great background to a relaxing morning. Good stuff, man.

Since having kids, I tend to try to wake up extra early everyday, Sundays included, and just enjoy the quiet before they wake up. Or, if I can, take a quick walk and enjoy the music of the birds singing, the wind blowing, and other nature. I save the music for later when I'm doing something else, after the day has begun, but I like to start it off with just quiet. I think my kids overload me with so much pure noise each day, I need the quiet to balance things.

The music I listen to is quite varied and stuff like this is rather prevalent. It's just nice and easy to listen to.

I don't have kids so could sleep in although I tend not to. When I do a sleep in its'd all that long anyway. There's always so much to do, not just commitments but things I want to do by choice, so I need hours in the day.

That's great that you feel this way! I talk to so many people who just don't want to do anything if they don't have to. I'm the opposite: I always have so much I want to do. So many hobbies, so many interests, so many new things I want to try. I could have 36 hour days and still think they were too short.

I'm the same...life is to short to let it pass by unused. I know how to relax if course, it's an event all of its own...I guess I see all of the activities I do as events, even if it's sitting around not doing much, reading on the bench out in my garden for instance. I'm present in my life.
