Something nice

avatar

fuck off you stinky ass licker (3).jpg

Each Tuesday for a handful of weeks I've been sharing a few tracks that I like and enjoy for various reasons. There was one week I shared three heinous tracks from the 1990's which I don't like at all, but otherwise, the music I've shared have all been tracks I have in my playlists and which I regularly listen to. I share them because I want to and often because I've been listening to them over the week; I don't share them to provide you with something nice to listen to, but if if you happen to like them it's a happy coincidence.

Let me clarify though. What I mean is that the tracks I share aren't chosen for the purpose of appealing to you.

That doesn't mean I choose tracks you won't like on purpose, just that it's music I like based on my own opinion and I can honestly say, I'm an expert at knowing what I like. Conversely, I have no clue what you like, ergo, it's impossible for me to add tracks designed around what you like...I have zero inclination to do so anyway.

Of course, there's no shortage of people who have an opinion and want to share it so I get many comments like, I don't like that track, or I don't like that artist, or I hate country music, this genre or that genre. I get it, you have your likes and dislikes...we all do...and you're an expert on yours. I don't mind people sharing their opinions.

Anyway, this week I'm sharing three tracks once again, three that I like, based on my own expert opinion of what I like.

The three tracks are: You're not my kind, this one, Under and over it, and No sudden movement, all by the same artist. Are they something nice for you to listen to? Hmm, I don't know, only you can answer that.

✳️ Here's a link to YouTube where you'll find all three in a single YouTube playlist.

I have a hugely varied musical taste, a look back over many of the Tuesday music posts will show you that; I'm not one to push something aside that doesn't fit into a little box, I'd rather expand my paradigm to encompass more, to hear new things and determine if I want to bring them on board or not.

It's ok if you don't like any of those tracks above though and think it'd be a little weird if you said you liked something you, indeed, did not like at all. You're an expert on what you do like after all. If you want to share something below in the comments go ahead, including your opinion of course.

Your post today, is almost the same as one I do since I started in the blockchain, with the difference that I do it on Sundays, the post is called My Musical Sunday, and as you say, it's your musical choice because it's what you like, I apply the same theory what I publish in my musical Sunday I do it based on what I like myself, it's not to please others.

My musical Sunday starts around 6 in the morning, I put my playlist for him to choose randomly a song or music, from that he spent all Sunday listening to that musical genre that chose my playlist.

I already listened to them, you made a very good selection, I have dusted off my memories, you probably know the band called EXHORDER, the first time I listen to this music genre was back in the 90's.

Music is a constant companion to me and I know many others are the same.

I used to do this thing with a partner a while ago. We would each send the other a track once a month, something that had meaning or relevance on that particular day or said something we wanted to say. I used to share the track I sent to her in a post once a month.

I've not heard of he band Exhorder to be honest but I'll check it out. My musical tastes are so varied so, like with heavy metal, I am not completely aware of everything that's out there.

Keep up with your Sunday music posts!

Yes, indeed it is a good companion.

I tell you at this very moment I am (enjoying) all the songs that follow after the three selected by you, from the album Five Finger Death Punch - Best of 2007 - 2018, for being 9.32 pm not to disturb my neighbors I must listen with low volume.

On my Sunday the song that I put reminds me of my mother, despite being a strictly commercial song.

Lol...yeah, low volume in that scenario is probably the best way to go...although I play my FFDP up loud mostly! 😉

I'll go see that post of yours and listen to the tracks, thanks.

I think most people always want to listen to tracks that are quite familiar to them, and sometimes we don't want to listen to an unknown artist, but this is the wrong perception for me because every artist was once unknown. I personally listen to tracks based on my feelings for the day.

I think you're right.

and sometimes we don't want to listen to an unknown artist

And again.

I personally listen to tracks based on my feelings for the day.

Smart.

I think people can be quite closed to new or different music. They stay within their lane and don't open themselves to things that could actually be really great for them. Human nature. Fortunately, I'm not one of those people.

Of course you know that..we can never understand human nature and that is why is very important we stay within our lane, love ourselves more than anything us..just like me ❤️ and music is one of the things that makes me realize this👌

Good morning gentleman, I see you like rock music.
I like something romantic and delicate.
Like violin 🎻 and piano 🎹 instrumental music 🎹.
I can also enjoy a good rock
(especially heavy rock so to speak).
Nobody decides what you like
Less if it comes from people from the time of the dinosaurs.

Buen día caballero veo que te gusta el rock
A mi me gusta algo romántico y delicado

Well, as I say in the post, my musical taste is incredibly varied and a look over the last several posts I've done on a Tuesday will demonstrate that clearly.

I have played the piano since the age of four and a half (I'm 53 now) and appreciate literally any genre of music if it sounds good to my ears and touches me inside, including those you mention.

I also have such varied taste in music that it left people confused. I had my metal days when I was younger and I have good memories of concerts and hair in the air. I love all genre of music.

I can enjoy a jazz standard and the next track can be an Afro-Cuban song, or any genre as long as it touches my heart.

I love discovering new music for my ears, so stay tuned to see what I find on Musical Tuesday! .... Greetings from Havana 🤝

Yep, that's a good way to put it. If people could see my playlists they'd be like, WTF! 😊

I think it's better to have a varied musical taste and a diverse range of interests in general, as it means a person can get more out of life, find value in more places and things and grow and develop also.

I'll look out for your #threetunetuesday tracks. Feel free to tag me.

I don't like heavy metal very much because I'm a person of silences... and that noise bothers me. But I do recognize that this kind of music is often about hard-hitting themes.
And from what I see this band is pretty aggressive in making clear what really matters, freedom, being yourself, not making concessions... that's what I'm telling you, these are great songs.

And the one I liked the most was Under And Over It.

I am not closed to learning new things. Because my inspiration can come from anywhere.

Thanks for sharing.

I understand completely, and I'm also a man who likes to find peace, solace and solitude in my life. Sometimes I need other things though, (I can be a little complex) and on occasion it music like this. Heavy metal music is probably the genre I listen to mostly, but the message this band send, respect for military veterans primarily, and those things you mention means something to me.

I'm found at my piano playing classical music, in my truck and other places listening to country music, heavy metal, instrumental, world, classical and just about everything in between in equal measure. I like my diversity.

I'm glad you commented though, and that you're not closed to new and different things as many are. Under it and over it is a great track for sure. I like Got your six, Bad company, Wrong side of heaven and...well all their tracks really.

So many people take influence from others and that's a good thing, except when it causes them to neglect or engage with their true self, likes, dislikes, thoughts, attitudes and actions. I like to tap-into the real me and sometimes this type of music works.

Being true to ourselves 😊

Music is very inspiring, everyone can motivate themselves with the music they like.

Is there a Spanish language song that you like?

I'll be honest and say I've not heard many Spanish songs, I guess I wouldn't really know where to start looking for good ones. I like world music though and listen to a lot of French tracks despite not being able to understand all the words as I only speak a little French, and even that not very well.

There are two songs that I first heard in English and I liked them a lot, I only understood the title and maybe some words, those same artists released a Spanish version of those songs and I liked the lyrics and the Spanish version, however, when I listen to them I always prefer to hear the original version and I hum them just for the sound of the words, knowing that I am far away from their correct pronunciation, it is still pleasant for me.

These songs are "Better man by Robbie Williams" and "Wind Of Change by Scorpions". I tell you the names in case you suddenly like them.

Yep, I know those two songs, great choices. I don't mind Robbie Williams. Have you heard this one? I featured it in one of my music posts a while back. I really like this one.

If the link doesn't appear it's: Eternity - Robbie Williams.

I think it's possible to like tracks even without understanding the lyrics, sometimes it's the tone or mood of the song that means the most.

I totally agree with this. Also many times I like the sound of the instruments more than the singer's voice, for many reasons we can like a piece of music.

I didn't know the song Eternity by Robbie Williams, I fell in love with it and the video too, I watched it about 3 times. Besides it is subtitled in Spanish, so I can know that it has nice lyrics as well as nice music and feeling.

These are very interesting. I am not familiar with the artist, or the song, but they sound really cool. It might be a good running or exercising song, or maybe a good pick me upper song on slow lazy days.

Different types of music have their place in a person's life I think, situation and mood dependant, and I like to enjoy a variety of music - Life's short and living with boundaries is not my way.

Oh man, the three heinous tracks from the 90s. That was something else.
You are definitely making me more 5FDP fan every time I hear one of their songs for the first time. We are alike in the sense we enjoy music across the genres. I was just listening to Eminem earlier. I may listen to some Woody Guthrie tomorrow if I hava sip of Jameson. Who knows what the mood brings to my ears at any given time. Have a great rest of your day!

Oh man, the three heinous tracks from the 90s. That was something else.

You remember that? Lol...how could you ever forget it I guess! 😏

A varied musical taste allows a person to get more from life and the things around them and it helps when one's mood calls for a certain type of music. There's times when I certainly wouldn't listen to FFDP for instance, and other times it's exactly what I need.

Another fan for the boys then. Good work!

I have listened all the three tracks. They are fine, I mean I was doing some house stuff and I put these tracks on and completed the stuff.
Thanks to you.
Also wanna ask that do you also like romantic or sad songs? Because often I see the lists you provide are related to war or are having a bombastic track.

I think hating any music is disrespect to the hardwork of the author or singer. That's why I like some music more. But not hate any.

Yeah, hating music doesn't make much sense. I think it's good enough to say, I don't like that, and leave it at that. I suppose that depends on the person though, some are very triggered by music one way or the other.

Wowww, I must say that I'm not a fan of heavy metal, I like some rock but not much, much more of the quiet rock hahaha.

These songs have a lot of power, there's no denying that, and a strong message too.

I've learnt that usually rock singers are .... awake people, and in their songs they tell a lot of truths, that otherwise they wouldn't be able to do it. I like that.

I like many styles of music, there was a time, when I was a teenager, that I liked rock.

But I'm more into calm and lower sounds hahahahahaha although .... if it's orchestral, epic, I don't mind the loudness hahahaha.

Thanks Galen! I didn't know the band.

And I say woww but what musical tastes, very nice!!!😀

It's the messages this band sends through their music that I relate to so much, they usually run parallel to my own, and should one listen to the lyrics and understand the stories behind them one finds more than some yelling into the microphone.

My life has not been boring, it's been a collection of many diverse moments, as with most people, and my musical tastes reflect that, including FFDP.

0

Yes, that's what I try to see, behind musical tastes there is something about people's lives that is reflected in them, that's why you like them and that's what I base my attention on.

I see, it hasn't been boring at all, quite the contrary. But it made you the great person you are now.

I thought sure it was going to be something like INXS before I actually clicked on the links and then read the rest of your posts. Five Finger Death Punch has kind of a bad reputation over here. Mostly just because people don't think they are metal enough. Maybe bad reputation isn't the best word. More of a joke I guess. There are a ton of memes referencing it among the metal community. I've never really had a problem with them though.

0

Lol...not metal enough. That makes me laugh, I guess the same could be said about Taylor Swift, or anyone really. People really are fucked in the head. It's just music.

Yeah, I get it. And why people have a problem with Nickelback, or any other band, is beyond comprehension. Don't like them? Don't listen. It's a pretty simple concept I guess. I like both, so I listen to both.

No comment, knew a guy who loved heavy metal, no way changing his mind it really was what got him up every day I think!

Sons came along with some not too heavy metal which was enjoyable, perhaps time of day, mood depends, individual taste.
