Looking

whatgotshotslothotlotbotgoggedychabblewinger.jpeg

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.

- C. S. Lewis -

Now and then I spend time looking for new or interesting music either on YouTube and find I can lose a couple hours to this activity quite easily. It's time well-spent though, when I have that time to spend, as the tracks I select stay with me for a long time.

On Thursday there was a National Public Holiday called ANZAC Day which you can google if you like, meaning I had time which I decided to spend cuddling my cat Cleo (see the image), eating ANZAC biscuits (only two) with coffee and looking for some new music.

I got caught up in tracks that had interesting or eye-catching visuals some of which I discarded and some I saved to my Spotify playlists, if they were available on Spotify of course. I thought I'd share a few I found and liked because why not right?

Watch the skies: Images of nature and a great accompanying track? Yep, I'm there.

Vampire at the swimming pool: This one is new to me and is pretty cool visually. The song isn't one I'd call a favourite but it earns points for the cool video.

Freedom 90: This one is here because it's cool and a song and I remember fondly, a good song with a powerful message from an artist who was finally finding himself.

Carry you: I've not heard this before but am a bit of a fan of Fleurie and I like the song and visuals, the tone and mood of the video.

On the way: I don't think I'd care what the music was, the video is right up my street and made me want to run away; if only life was that simple that I could.

Lies: Here's one angry chica, Viking Barbie, but given the chance I'd risk it to meet her, she's interesting for sure, but I'd be sure to behave. This one won't appeal to many probably, but I think it's a cool and interesting video.

That's it folks, some tracks I like with cool videos I also like; I know some (or all) of you won't like them (or even take the time to listen) and that's ok, it's a personal choice.

Feel free to drop a link in the comments (and a comment) to a new track you've recently found or an old favourite you're rediscovered or just comment on how cute Cleo is in the image above.

I had no knowledge of that part of history and I found it interesting the reason for the celebration, I can't imagine being in such a situation.

It is a very honorable celebration and above all, that after more than a century it is maintained is something to admire. As a phrase says in my country : honoring, honors

Songs added to tomorrow's playlist ✅ for the way to school, so my opinion about them will be for another day.

It's a commemoration really, not a celebration; a time to think about and honour Australians who went to war for those who could not or would not, and paid the ultimate sacrifice, came back physically and emotionally scarred and broken or just who served. It's a very important day and one I personally take seriously as far as the reason for, and purpose of, it goes.

I'm not sure you'll like the tracks, but let me know.

Queen Cleo, a cuddly little ball of fur! Hmm, yesterday I was looking for a song, and I stumbled upon a song I was listening to about 12 years ago. The lyrics are just perfect, and it's by a Slovenian band, so not a lot of people know about this band.

Hope you like it ;) enjoy your day!

She's a little cutie for sure.

Cool song, a feel-good vibe which is always welcome huh? Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.

This is the first time I've heard of ANZAC, but it seems to be similar to the National Heroes' day and Day of Valor in the Philippines.

It's cool that Cleo is ok with you being clingy. I've seen a lot of funny cat videos where the cats hate it.

I'm not surprised ANZAC Day is Australian, a national day of remembrance and respect.

Cleo is a cute little furball and one I'd be completely lost without; she's my constant companion at home and one of the best parts of my day is coming home to see her waiting for me to have a cuddle.

What a nice picture of Cleo, she seems to be very friendly, at least she is with you haha.

I have a long time without listening to music honestly, I'm very out of date with current music and I was really impressed that I hadn't listened to any music until today precisely before I saw your post.

Of the music you share I really liked this one: On the way

I liked the melody of the theme.

Finally I share with you the last music I listened to before playing the ones you shared in this post. I hope you like it a little:

Greetings friend, thanks for sharing with us and have a great day.

Cleo is the light of my life and such an important part of it; I'd be lost without her.

I'm not sure how you go for a long time without music, it's a daily thing for me, but maybe this post will inspire you to listen to some more.

Thanks for sharing that track, it's pretty cool indeed!

What nice words to express yourself about Cleo, no doubt she came into your life to make it much better with her company.

I'm not sure how you go for a long time without music, it's a daily thing for me, but maybe this post will inspire you to listen to some more.

I really don't know how it could take so long, I think it's all related to losing my favorite music from my phone when it was unintentionally formatted.

But indeed this post encouraged me to go back to listening to music more often in my daily activity.

Thanks for sharing that track, it's pretty cool indeed!

Glad you liked the track, nice to have interacted with you on your blog!

Sometimes life gets in the way and we have to prioritise other things I suppose, but it seems music is quite important to you sinim sure you'll rediscover it.

Very true my friend, sometimes circumstances arise in which you have to give priority to other things and the rest can be put on the back burner.

But without a doubt I like music very much to have it present in my life, so I will try to make it present again, to reconnect with that aspect of my life that I had in the background.

Thanks to you for motivating me with your post and words.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

First and foremost, Cleo is beautiful! Her look is precious! That's the most important thing!

Then that you had some time to listen to music and rest is great!

Ecuche and look at each of them. The second one the visual impact is very big and I like everything graphic- Freedom 90 I love it, many songs of that singer fascinate me!

The songs where there are natural landscapes are very relaxing and the last woman is very angry... be careful if you meet her!!!!

Yesterday I played a lot of music in the background while I was writing, I'll send you some of them:

And this one I found it as new and I liked it a lot:

Great tracks!

One of the cool things about finding a new track is investigating more from that artist, finding more. I think I'll do a little of that tomorrow (Saturday).

Have a good weekend, I hope to see you write on one of the topics which I'll release shortly.

Interesting stuff. George Michael is always fun to listen to. He is just classic and his voice was quite amazing. It's sad he had to depart. If I had to pick a favorite though it would probably be Carry You or On the Way. Carry You because I dig their voices and accents, On the Way because it has a cool vibe. I'm actually going to have to spend some time digging into more of the stuff by both those artists.

I really loved "watch the skies" for the same reason you do, anything Nature has a special place in my heart. The others are cool also I think but I'm not too into different kinds of music, country is ok for me, thanks.
Cleo is so cute with those stunning greenish eyes.

Hi Galen, I have not been able to watch all the videos until just now. Visually I found Hollow Coves and Skylar Grey very attractive. Happy weekend

I think Cleo is the true protagonist of this post.

Although the list of recommended songs has been a real surprise, the last one, an angry Viking? to be honest I didn't like it.

I've been away from music for a while, although if you check my cell playlist I almost only consume Anglo music, so your suggested playlist feels powerful visually and vocally, except for some very surreal shots that saves Skylar Grey's voice.
And yes, En camino, gives the inevitable feeling of wanting to run away.

In general, I congratulate you for your excellent musical taste...around here many people love that style of music, and George Michael without a doubt.

Here is my suggestion:

I don't often post images of Cleo but everyso often she finds her way onto a post. She's a very cute cat and a big part of my life. She's sitting with me purring as I type this actually, we're just hanging out. Makes me happy.

Ha, I imagine it, I hope it has never surprised you with an unexpected gift: a little bird, a lizard or in the worst case a little mouse... typical of the maximum expression of love for us...
They are beautiful and very faithful.

I love exaggeratedly to me Chloe, my little dog.

I hope you have a great weekend

It is true that it takes time to find the music you like, but after listening to it, you get a lot of peace. People also hear here daily, his name is Nusrat Fate Ali Khan. I also have two white cats named one named tiger and the other one is tiger she also plays with me all day long.
