Fire country and hot music

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-moooooooooooore.jpg

I've just finished watching a series on Netflix called Fire Country which revolves around the stories and lives of CAL Fire (California Fire) firefighters and their families. Interestingly, it's based on reality as CAL Fire actually has a sponsor program where convicted and incarcerated felons fight fires and other such emergencies side by side with the CAL Fire employees which assists them to assimilate back into society in meaningful ways. It gets them out of prison and actively working towards the good of the community...of course, there's criteria one would have to meet to get such an opportunity.

The show is created by one of the stars, (Max Thieriot), who grew up in real life 'fire country' as a lad and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It's pretty good and worth a watch I'd say.

What really grabbed my attention was the cool soundtrack which is a mixture of mainstream tracks by well known and not so well known artists; there's also three made specifically for the show by Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert that are not available on streaming services or albums sadly, but are great tracks. There's a lot of great music across the episodes and I thought I'd share some of in a post because I can.

Into the sun - (The White Buffalo) 🔸 Back in the saddle - (Ashley Cooke) 🔸 Ride the lightning - (Warren Zieders) 🔸 Different man - (Kane Brown & Blake Shelton 🔸 Never say never - (Cole Swindell & Lainey Wilson)

You're probably going to just hear tracks, simple music, and that's cool, that's all they are really. You may like them or not and that's ok too because everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, likes and dislikes. What makes them so cool for me though, and all the music throughout the episodes of Fire Country, is that they really put some thought into what music they used based on what was happening in the show, the tone or mood of the scene and they nailed it. Some of the tracks in the show are not one's I may usually like but they worked well and complimented the scenes. Isn't music cool?

I'm not sure you'll ever get to see this show, or even want to, and it doesn't matter to me either way I suppose, but I wonder if you've ever found music that you really like from a series or movie you've seen and simply had to add it to your play lists? Feel free to tell me below, name or link the track and what you liked about it so much.

The wife and I watched the first season of this when it aired and liked it. The second season is on the air now. We haven't started watching it yet, but plan to. Now that you have pointed out the music, I am really going to have to pay attention this next season.

As far as a soundtrack, not sure. I thought Forest Gump had a decent soundtrack.

Forest Gump had a good soundtrack for sure, and it's a great movie. I was only talking about in a few weeks ago actually, someone I know had seen it for the first time and loved it.

I love anime, so I add their opening and ending theme in my playlists. For movies, some of the ones I like are:
Little Wonders from Meet the Robinsons
I'm still here from Treasure Planet

Nostalgia is something that really makes me add a song. If I like a show or a movie, and a specific song reminds me of it, then it gets added.

There's a lot of great music in animated movies and series, I have some in my playlists also.

The songs are beautiful and I have seen a movie and I like the soundtrack so much that I download it so that I can have it on my phone and listen to it. I'll keep an eye on the series!

One of the films that I really liked the soundtrack is an old one called Equilibrium... it was a different era, many years ago and it combined spectacular with the film.

At that time I loved it!

I think it's nice to appreciate the music in movies and TV series even though they usually only just play snippets of the tracks. Listening for them can bring a whole different aspect to the movie, more enjoyment.

Totally agree, that's why I like to listen to soundtracks when I like them and in full.

Actually I skip the part where the music comes in between the movie or series (actually it seems to me like a waste during the movie or series especially if it is a thriller or action).

This doesn't mean I am not a music lover, I do listen to music separately. I hope you understand this thing. Haha

This doesn't make much sense to me at all.

My mom and dad watch this show, but my wife and I haven't gotten into it. We just started watching Masters of the Air on Apple TV Plus and I was happy to find that my wife enjoys it too so we can watch it together. We liked Max Thieriot on Bates Motel. He was Norman Bates older brother in that show. That looks like a really impressive soundtrack! Lots of hot and upcomming country stars. I've heard of all of them except The White Buffalo, so I am going to be checking them out this morning!

Max Thieriot was also in Seal Team and did a good job in it too, probably not the best actor in the world, but he does a good job and I like how he also works behind the scenes to create shows rather than just act.

I'm hoping to see Masters of the Air someday although don't have Apple TV anymore.

I don't have that series on my Netflix account. Is it probably up to the region?

Yep, they change what's available depending on the region which is annoying.

This my favorite song from an old Yugoslav series "Vruć vetar" (1980) will not mean much to you, because despite the words of the song, you can hardly feel that emotion, but I will write why it is my top 50 track...
Graduation celebration after finishing high school in 1995.
We, 33 classmates (all male class), hug each other and sing this song in one voice, while we are watched from the side by a group from another school, which is not as connected as we were...
And to this day I am in contact with all of them, wherever they are, scattered around the world...

And now farewell
Once the birds fly away
Our streets will be left without sunlight
The man will escort the woman out
For a long time he will stand alone

Once everybody leaves
On the path of their life
At the parting the heart just says:
"I will be back"

Ref.
and now, farewell(adio)
and now,farewell(adio)
and who knows where
and who knows when

I see unfamiliar faces
I could be each one of those men
I see, them kissing and crying
They are all traveling, I am left alone

I see the eyes of a little boy
they take me back to my childhood
Turned off lights on the platform
That is the way you are, youth

Ref.
and now, farewell(adio)
and now,farewell(adio)
and who knows where
and who knows when

I think it's nice to have music that means something on a deeper level and helps us connect to a special moment.

I watched a movie yesterday, I posted today in the Reflections community.
And that music and film really brought me back to the past and reminded me of some long-ago, almost forgotten moments in my life...

Hi Galen, I have to tell you that The White Buffalo track impressed me, about what you ask, I think I have quite a few soundtracks on my playlist, but the one I usually listen to from time to time is Quadrophenia by The Who. It rejuvenates me 😂

That White Buffalo track is pretty cool right?

I think we all have favourites and go-to music right?

Sorry for the late reply.
