My Hive Goals (Week 31, 2024)

This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

52-Week HBD Savings Challenge

A 52-week challenge following the popular model starts slowly and becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing week. The challenge is not at the beginning but at the end. That's why, we can use the easy start to prepare for the tougher weeks ahead.

In my case, I started with 1 HBD in week 1. This is also the step that increases the amount I need to save every week. The rule is, in my case: I need to add to savings the amount of HBD per week equal to the week number in the challenge. That means, in week 52 I'll need to save 52 HBD.

We are in the 32nd week of the 52-week HBD challenge. That means I added 32 HBD to the savings for this particular goal, and reached 528 HBD, without counting the accrued interest.

Here's how things look right now:

I needed about 16 HBD from my reserves to reach the needed amount of HBD to add for the challenge for this week.

This week I also received interest on the account where I keep the HBD savings for the 52-week challenge:

Given that the challenge doesn't specify one way or another and the depressed state of the market when it comes to volatile token/asset prices, I'll try to prolong as much as possible the time until I'll need to use such assets for this challenge. And I made the decision to use the interest from the 52-week challenge HBD savings account when I'll need it as reserves. For the challenge to be completed successfully in my interpretation, I'll have to add weekly the required amount and have at the end in the HBD savings of the specified account the sum of the amounts added each week. Which gives me even more space to maneuver, but I'd rather be more conservative and not try to chase more rabbits at the same time.

Interest transferred to reserves: 0 (nothing yet).

Total HBD remaining to add to complete this challenge (broken down into increasing weekly targets): 850 HBD.

Already added (without counting the accrued interest): 528 HBD.

Posting & Commenting Goal

I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1872 posts published, with 133 left to hit the target in 2024. That puts the progress at 62% where 59.62% was needed to be in the green.

Here's the situation so far:

I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses in 2024 either, and I mention this since it's also part of my posting goal. Overall, I reached the 82nd edition of the weekly roundup which debuted at the beginning of 2023.

I also started the week with 19,773 comments made. Ended the week with 19972 which means I made 99 comments last week, which is below the weekly average needed to reach the comments target by the end of the year, but is pretty good compared to previous weeks.

I currently need an average of 102 comments weekly to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

LEO Staked

My LEO stake remained at 24,400 LP, with 3k delegated to one of the winners of the LPUD prizes. I haven't added more to the LEO-CACAO pool yet...

Here's the current situation:

If I participate in the future LPUDs as before, with 200 LEO power-ups, and nothing else staked throughout the months, this goal should be completed in October.

Splinterlands: Increase Grain PP to 400,000

Goal started in week 19.

What's the progress so far?

Started previous week at 352,833 PP. Today's number is 355,314 PP. That's +2,481 PP, which is below my needed average. I need +2368 PP weekly to complete this goal until mid-December (my deadline is end of year, but I chose mid-December to push myself a bit).

The major bottleneck for me here is and has always been for land staked DEC.

Land Plots Unlocked - Completed

Goal completed in Week 18, with the following situation at the time:

73 plots were productive and 27 were still under construction.

Currently, 97 plots are productive out of 100, with 3 still under construction (still clearing). No plots became productive this week.

ZING Multiplier - Completed

Goal completed in week 10 with 25,203 ZING.

Since then, I slowly grew my stash from staking rewards only. Waiting for sales.

My ZING holdings are now at 27,216.
