Hola a todos los amantes de la música en hive, ya que estamos a punto de acabar el año quise realizar una iniciativa en donde hablemos de todo la música que hemos descubierto en este año, los géneros que escuchamos y nuestras canciones favoritas. Una de mis canciones que descubrí este año y que se ha convertido en una de mis favoritas es Paranoid Android de Radiohead. Es una canción que me transmite muchas emociones ya que la canción misma cambia de estilo en ciertas partes, escucharla es como estar una montaña rusa de emociones ya que al principio hay muchas euforia y energía y luego pasa a generar tranquilidad o una sensación de tristeza para luego volver a euforia. Me encantó esta canción desde que la descubrí y desde entonces se volvió en mi canción favorita de este año.

One of my songs that I discovered this year and that has become one of my favorites is Paranoid Android by Radiohead. It is a song that transmits me many emotions since the song itself changes style in certain parts, listening to it is like being on a roller coaster of emotions since at the beginning there is a lot of euphoria and energy and then it goes to generate tranquility or a feeling of sadness and then back to euphoria. I loved this song since I discovered it and since then it became my favorite song of this year.

Este año aunque no escuché a muchos cantantes solistas así que fácilmente puedo elegir al que fue mi favorito este año y fue Will Wood quien es un cantante de que tiene de género musical pop, rock and roll y electro swing. Una de las razones por las cuales me encantó su estilo musical es por la forma en la que interpreta sus canciones, es bastante excéntrico y las letras de sus canciones están llenas de simbolismos y a veces crudas verdades, sobre el mismo y sobre su entorno, se destaca por su estilo extraño y su manera peculiar de bailar y cantar sus canciones ya que siempre parecen sacadas de musicales. Este fue mi cantante favorito de este año ya que no solo me encantan sus canciones sino su forma de ser, me reflejo un poco ahí jajajaja.

This year though I didn't listen to many solo singers so I can easily pick the one who was my favorite this year and that was Will Wood who is a singer that has a musical genre of pop, rock and roll and electro swing. One of the reasons why I loved his musical style is because of the way he interprets his songs, he is quite eccentric and the lyrics of his songs are full of symbolism and sometimes raw truths about himself and his environment, he stands out for his strange style and his peculiar way of dancing and singing his songs as they always seem to be taken from musicals. This was my favorite singer of this year because not only I love his songs but his way of being, I reflect myself a little there hahahaha.

Aunque todos sabemos que Daft Punk es una banda bastante de antaño este año fue el año en donde más los escuché ya que hubieron algunas canciones que despertaron mis ganas de escuchar más sus canciones. Definitivamente daft punk es una gran banda en donde no tienen miedo de mezclar, crear y unir sonidos para crear melodías pegadizas y ritmos energizantes, fueron uno de los grupos que más escuché durante este año a pesar de tener a muchos más que también estuvieron muy presentes en mi playlist pero ellos destacaron por montón, sus ritmos y melodias me daban subidones de energía que me ayudaron a hacer muchos proyectos que realice este año y me llenaron de mucha motivación y bueno, quien no se siente un poco alegre al escuchar sus canciones?

Although we all know that Daft Punk is a band of yesteryear, this year was the year where I listened to them the most because there were some songs that awakened my desire to listen to more of their songs. Definitely daft punk is a great band where they are not afraid to mix, create and unite sounds to create catchy melodies and energizing rhythms, they were one of the groups that I listened to the most during this year despite having many more that were also very present in my playlist but they stood out by a lot, their rhythms and melodies gave me energy rushes that helped me to do many projects that I did this year and filled me with a lot of motivation and well, who does not feel a little happy when listening to their songs?

Aunque yo hablo español soy más de escuchar canciones en ingles pero este año hubo una canción que sobresale en mi playlist y la cuál fue una de mis canciones favoritas en otro idioma. "Yo te diré" de la banda Miranda! el cual es una banda argentina, ya desde hace unos años me gustaba esta banda pero este año descubrí está canción y no podía dejar de escucharla de lo pegadiza que es, me encanta ese estilo pop dance que tiene la canción, la letra es completamente pegadiza y te hace bailarla, cantarla y repetirla mil veces. La letra habla sobre un romance a escondidas y como este se va desarrollando, es una canción divertidísima y que te hará bailar siempre que la escuches.

Although I speak Spanish I am more of an English speaker but this year there was a song that stands out in my playlist and which was one of my favorite songs in another language. "Yo te diré" by the band Miranda! which is an Argentinian band, I already liked this band for a few years but this year I discovered this song and I couldn't stop listening to it because of how catchy it is, I love that pop dance style that the song has, the lyrics are completely catchy and it makes you dance, sing and repeat it a thousand times. The lyrics talk about a hidden romance and how it develops, it's a hilarious song that will make you dance every time you listen to it.

Álbum favorito de este año | Favorite album of this year

Uno de mis álbumes favoritos de este año fue "The Bends" de la banda Radiohead, este año fue el año de Radiohead ya que comencé a escucharlos con mucha frecuencia y no podía dejar de hacerlo ya que cada que terminaba una canción conseguía otra igual de buena. Este álbum es uno de los álbumes que más escuché este año y como no si este álbum está lleno de muchísimas canciones buenas, es un álbum bastante melancólico y triste, que fueron algunas de las emociones que tuve este año en gran medida sin embargo amé muchísimo este álbum fue uno de los descubrimientos que hice este año que se sintió como conseguir oro.

One of my favorite albums of this year was "The Bends" by the band Radiohead, this year was the year of Radiohead since I started listening to them very often and I couldn't stop listening to them since every time I finished a song I got another one just as good. This album is one of the albums I listened to the most this year and how could I not if this album is full of so many good songs, it is a quite melancholic and sad album, which were some of the emotions I had this year to a great extent however I loved this album very much it was one of the discoveries I made this year that felt like getting gold.

Siempre me han gustado las canciones tristes, eso se puede notar en que uno de mis grupos favoritos de todos los tiempos es radiohead, pero este año descubrí está canción llamada "I know You" de la cantante Faye Webster, es una canción bastante melancólica y triste que transmite no solo con la letra sino con la melodía de ella esa sensación de la búsqueda del cambio para poder llamar la atención de esa persona. Me gustó mucho esa canción porque no solo trata de las relaciones amorosas sino también sobre las relaciones amistosas, en donde a veces buscamos cambiar para poder agradarle más a la otra persona, es una canción muy linda que siempre que desde que la escuché me pone un poco triste.

I have always liked sad songs, that can be noticed in that one of my favorite bands of all time is radiohead, but this year I discovered this song called "I know You" by the singer Faye Webster, it is a quite melancholic and sad song that transmits not only with the lyrics but with the melody of it that feeling of the search for change in order to get the attention of that person. I really liked that song because it is not only about love relationships but also about friendly relationships, where sometimes we seek to change in order to please the other person more, it is a very nice song that always makes me a little sad since I heard it.

La canción con la que definiría mi 2023 es "Migraine" de Twenty One Pilots la cual es una canción bastante profunda y triste en donde aborda lo que son las luchas con la salud mental simbolizandolo y describiendolo con el dolor físico y mental de tener vivir con migraña. Para mi este 2023 ha sido un año muy difícil, perdí muchas cosas y en muchos puntos había tomado decisiones difíciles pero aún así he buscado otras alternativas, en una parte de la canción la letra dice "Pero hemos llegado hasta aquí..." La cuál es una forma en la que el cantante busca reconocer todo lo que ha logrado y es una forma de aliento por haber logrado eso mientras lidiaba con sus propios pensamientos. Es una canción que podría describir un poco lo que fue mi 2023 pero no solamente esa sino también la canción "shy away" también de Twenty One Pilots ya que está canción habla de como debemos dejar el miedo y la pena para poder hacer todo lo que queremos hacer y eso también describiría una gran parte de mi año ya que hace un tiempo comencé a hacer varias cosas que nunca me imaginé hacer por miedo y que pude lograr.

The song with which I would define my 2023 is "Migraine" by Twenty One Pilots which is a pretty deep and sad song where it addresses what are the struggles with mental health symbolizing and describing it with the physical and mental pain of having to live with migraine. For me this 2023 has been a very difficult year, I lost a lot of things and at many points I had made difficult decisions but still I have looked for alternatives, in one part of the song the lyrics say "But we have come this far..." Which is a way in which the singer seeks to acknowledge all that he has achieved and is a form of encouragement for having achieved that while dealing with his own thoughts. It is a song that could describe a bit of what my 2023 was like but not only that but also the song "Shy Away" also by Twenty One Pilots as this song talks about how we must let go of fear and grief in order to do everything we want to do and that would also describe a big part of my year as a while ago I started to do several things that I never imagined doing out of fear and I was able to accomplish.
