Time to move on... Attending "I ❤️ Sopa" Music Festival
It's been exactly 3 weeks since my world got emptier and the same amount of time when I started seeing things differently, especially when it comes to appreciating the time spent with my loved ones. If you've seen this post most likely you know what's everything about.
However, on the 1st of September was my b-day and while I had nothing planned for that day but only wanted to spend time with myself and stay in the house playing games or watching a movie like it was just another day, things got changed pretty fast when my cousin decided to visit me and my sister.
We found out about "I ❤️ Sopa" Music Festival a few days before the tragedy happened and the lineup seemed pretty interesting. I know that perhaps none of the artists seem familiar to you because these are Romanian artists. However, we thought we would give the festival a try since it was placed in a very familiar place to us, known as Sopa Forest.
As soon as things took a different turn in our lives, I gave up instantly on the thought of attending the festival anymore, but my cousin and sister moved on easier than I did and they were also the ones who said that we should attend it anyway, as it would help my mood too. In plus, this was happening in the weekend with my b-day, so it seemed like a good idea to celebrate my 27th rotation around the Sun.
Anyway, we said that we would be there the entire weekend as there was at least one interesting artist for us every single day, but on Friday there were lots of storms and rain, and on Sunday we were way too tired after the previous day when we arrived at 5:30 PM and returned home 8 hours later.
We arrived at the festival with a bus that was taking rides just for those attending "I ❤️ Sopa" and took advantage of the moments before the first artist would get on the stage to get a coffee, something to eat, and even try our luck on a wheel with surprises from were I walked away with a multitool in the shape of a bike. Which I absolutely love!
My sister got a bike bag, while my cousin and my boyfriend didn't want to take part in. Either way, all the food trucks, tables, bean bags, DJs and fun areas seemed like a good option to keep yourself busy before the fun started.
The first artist going up on the stage and one of our favourites was Guess Who who is known for rap/hip-hop music and which I grew up with his music. It's also one of my cousin's favorite artists so we had plenty of fun there, remembering the lyrics of all the old songs that we were singing as kids. We were somewhere on the right side of the stage and the photographer from the stage captured our energy as well.
Right after Guess Who there was Mario Fresh who is a nice guy but I've never been a fan of his music. His music genre is pop and mostly created to get on radio which was never my cup of tea as I usually listen to less popular music. So even if we've been there, I completely forgot to take a picture of him.
As the night was slowly setting, time seemed like being frozen before seeing Carla's Dreams get up on the stage, which was the main reason we attended the festival. Again, he creates music that gets fairly easy on the radio, but there are also plenty of songs that are not so popular and even sound better if you ask me.
Plus, the mystery that every single member of the band is masked and no identity is known, made things even spicier to see them performing live where everyone sang out loud and danced like nobody was watching.
There are few artists in Romania that create such large shows for free, and I bet the organizers of the festival spent a little fortune to bring Carla's Dreams as he only performs in his own concerts that are always with tickets, while "I ❤️ Sopa" came with free entrance.
It's hard to express myself in words as the emotion and mood you get once you stay just a few meters away from some artists you appreciate that much, but I bet you all know this feeling.

This sounds like such an AI comment, so sad! The event takes place every summer.
Thank you
I was just asking since I am not familiar with the windows of sunny and bright days in the region of the world you are living.
Happy Birthday
Thank you!
