A dream came true - attending Jacob Lee's Concert (Cluj, Romania)π
Hope you enjoy your weekend and have a great time! π
While my posts are usually travel related with a simple purpose behind every trip, namely, to discover every single part of Romania and as much as possible from other countries too, my most recent trip was taken with a completely different scope - to attend the concert of my the singer that became my favorite one from almost 6 years ago.
I am aware that when it comes to peoples' dreams, most likely everyone has in mind to get a new homeplace, a car, or some more 'serious' things that could make their life a lot better, but one of my biggest dreams was attending to Jacob Lee's concert, at least once in life. He had a previous concert in Romania around 4 years ago before the pandemic but since that was the exact period when I was moving from the capital of Romania to Sibiu and we were quite busy with all the roads taken to move plenty of stuff from a place that I used to call home, to a new homeplace, I had to skip the concert. But I promised that I won't miss the next opportunity whenever it occurs.
It's not a surprise anymore that the pandemic did change a lot of things in many domains of interest, so that was also the main reason which kept Jacob Lee away from his fans when it came to possible concerts, so now when we can finally say that people learned to live with COVID, things started to get back on track. Jacob announced his tour in Europe almost one year ago, and the biggest surprise was to see that he will have two concerts in Romania - one in Bucharest and one in Cluj Napoca which is a city that I've previously been to but didn't get a lot of time to explore it.
So I waited no more and booked the tickets from the first minute they were put up for sale, starting to count down the days when I'll meet my favorite artist out there. I don't know when will be the next time that I can call a dream that came true, but for now, I'm more than happy to get to see Jacob's concert which I felt like a deep breath of fresh air that I needed lately.
At first, we thought that this is going to be a quite boring journey with me, my sister, and my cousin, taking a train ride from Sibiu to Cluj-Napoca, but happily, my cousin decided to come with her car and have a girls' ride which came with lots of good music, stories shared and memories created both on the way to Cluj, but also while we were there.
I won't make this post too crowded with urban pictures but keep some of the images taken in Cluj for future posts because I'd like to focus now on the concert which made me live the best moments on such a show since I am alive, and I did attend quite a few concerts before, both from big artists, but also small ones.
Perhaps for many of you, the name of Jacob Lee doesn't say a lot and that's because he's still at the beginning of his career. I actually discovered him when he didn't have any songs released but only published a few covers singing popular songs. In reality, Jacob began his career in music after he took part in "The Voice: Australia" where he was trained by Will I Am.
Not long after his participation there, he began writing songs and creating music on his own, publishing a song once in a while which gathered quite a few fans, until he began releasing albums and having more success than he ever thought.
While everyone was waiting for Jacob to get on stage, a friend of Jacob Lee, who's also on tour with him, came on stage and revived the audience which was either serving a drink or dancing on the DJ's music. The name of the guy who sang at the opening of the concert is Josh Savage, and he created a great atmosphere too.
This one was on stage only for 30mins and then let Jacob take his spot for the next 1 hr and 30 mins which felt like just a short amount of time for the fans who were singing every single song along with him and encouraging Jacob to sing even more.
While I had big issues expressing myself in words when talking with my boyfriend about how the whole concert was, the same problem I have now because I bet you all know the feeling when you experience something so deeply that it becomes part of your heart and emotions which will never ever be able to be transformed into words. So that's exactly what the whole concert felt like.
However, between smiles, tears, and songs sung in the crowd, there was also the 'after party' thing which came as a surprise from Jacob Lee who decided to wait for everyone at the merch desk, hug every single person, ask them how they felt, and even give autographs and take pictures together.
This is a thing that I'm used to seeing coming from fans, and not from the artists, but I guess this is the real example that there is a difference between artists and singers because we all know these famous guys who feel like they are on top of everyone and that not everyone deserved their attention.
So yep, after waiting in the queue for quite a while and seeing 400+ people share smiles and stories with Jacob, I and my sister's turn finally came, which felt so emotional, making us feel dumb in front of Jacob who was very talkative and us very shy for finally getting to meet him in person. My sister even discussed with him before the show and took some professional pictures of him, so hopefully, this will turn into a tradition whenever he has concerts in Romania and meet him more often. π
I'll leave down below a reel posted by Jacob Lee with the emotions from the concert I attended, as well as some of his most popular songs.
Have you ever heard of Jacob Lee so far? If not, what's your favorite artist?

Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
I know how you feel. When I went to Singapore, I attended a concert just to watch Maroon 5 in the flesh. :)
Woaah, Maroon 5?! Must be such a crazy experience! The biggest artist I saw on stage was Ed Sheeran but would love to see Maroon 5 one day too :D
And it was during the F1 race in Singapore. :)
Attending F1 and MotoGP races are also on my list. I guess you had a great 2in1 experience! π₯π
It was indeed fun! :)
Hello music ladies :) thanks for this cool post.
Thanks for stopping by....
Wow! considering you were using your phone the snaps of the concert are really fucking good!!! Nice one, are you sisters or twins, I thought I was seeing double
Haha, thanks! I was surprised too considering that it's a pretty old phone. And yeah, I have a twin, you are not seeing double π
That explains it, I really thought i was, seeing double, amazing likeness to each other,
Thank you π
you're welcome
I never heard of Jacob Lee before. His lyrics are so deep and he tackles such a huge variety of topics. Amazing. Congratulations for attending his concert and big thanks for sharing his most popular songs.
And to answer your question: the biggest live concerts I attended so far were Madonna and Celine Dion.
Wow, attending a Madonna or Celine Dion concert must be amazing! I'd like to attend one of them as well, just for the atmosphere because I'm not really a fan of their music anymore. But yeah, the lyrics of Jacob Lee is very deep and that's perhaps what touched me the most! Thank you for stopping by :)
I attended both concerts well over a decade ago. Madonna was more so for the show she puts up cause her voice live is pretty weak. Celine Dion on the other hand has a phenomenal voice. Gives you goosebumps.
I can imagine π
There was a good memoryπΈ
Absolutely! π
