Nací en Cumaná, Estado Sucre, (Venezuela) el 6 de agosto de 19.. (no se los diré 😂😂😂) desde muy pequeño sentí mucha curiosidad por la música, específicamente por los instrumentos de percusión y el canto.
I was born in Cumaná, Sucre State, (Venezuela) on August 6, 19.. (I won't tell you 😂😂😂) from a very young age I was very curious about music, specifically about percussion instruments and singing.
A los 3-4 años de edad, empecé a tocar el tambor, y participé múltiples veces en eventos de aguinaldos y parrandas ejecutando dicho instrumento.
At 3-4 years old, I started playing the drum, and I participated multiple times in aguinaldos and parrandas events playing said instrument.
A los 6 años de edad me dan como regalo de navidad un teclado (Casio), comencé a tocar mis primeras melodías solo escuchando las canciones (oído musical) y empecé a estudiar música a la edad de 8 años.
At the age of 6 I was given a keyboard (Casio) as a Christmas gift, I started playing my first melodies just listening to the songs (musical ear) and I started studying music at the age of 8.
Mi profesor de piano fue Rafael Sequera, con él vi clases por 3 años en la escuela de música "José María Gómez Cardiel" y luego pasé a estudiar percusión alrededor de 1 año con el profesor Luis Barcenas (+).
My piano teacher was Rafael Sequera, with him I attended classes for 3 years at the music school "José María Gómez Cardiel" and then I went on to study percussion for about 1 year with the teacher * Luis Barcenas (+).*
Luego, por falta de tiempo, no pude seguir estudiando música, ya que había empezado mis estudios de secundaria.
Then, due to lack of time, I could not continue studying music, since I had started my secondary studies.
En el año 1999 decido incursionar en el mundo del espectáculo, conformo mi primera agrupación llamada "The Boys" éramos 3 chicos (todos menores de edad 😅) que hacíamos música latina de la época, y nos presentábamos en fiestas privadas y en locales nocturnos de la ciudad.
In 1999 I decided to venture into show business, I formed my first group called "The Boys" we were 3 boys (all minors 😅) who made Latin music of the time, and we introduced ourselves at private parties and nightclubs in the city.
Luego de 4 años adquiriendo experiencia, (con muchos aciertos y desaciertos) formo parte (como tecladista) de grandes y reconocidas orquestas de Cumaná, como lo es "Armando y Miguel" y "Cumaná Super Star" agradeciendo infinitamente por la oportunidad que me brindaron al conocer mi talento como músico y ejecutante.
After 4 years gaining experience, (with many hits and misses) I am part (as a keyboardist) of large and well-known orchestras from Cumaná, such as "Armando y Miguel" and "Cumana Super Star" infinitely grateful for the opportunity they gave me to learn about my talent as a musician and performer.
En el año 2007 surge una nueva curiosidad, y el cual con los años se convertiría en mi segunda gran pasión, me sentí muy atraído por el mundo del audio, y decidí invertir en un equipo básico para hacer mis primeras grabaciones y producciones para mi Home Studio Gabo Records Studio (se escuchaban horribles).
In 2007 a new curiosity arises, and which over the years would become my second great passion, I felt very attracted to the world of audio, and decided to invest in basic equipment to make my first recordings and productions for myself * Home Studio* Gabo Records Studio (they sounded horrible).
Después de 8 años de mucho ensayo y error, y aprendiendo de manera empírica, comencé mis estudios de Ingeniería de sonido en el año 2015 hasta la fecha... gracias a Dios he completado un Diplomado de audio, varios Máster Class y unos cuantos cursos a distancia dictados por grandes ingenieros de otros países (México y Argentina).
After 8 years of much trial and error, and learning empirically, I began my studies in Sound Engineering in 2015 to date... thank God I have completed an Audio Diploma, several Master Classes and a few courses remotely dictated by great engineers from other countries (Mexico and Argentina).
Hace apenas 3 años (2020) comencé un nuevo proyecto (GABO BRANDON) pero esta vez como intérprete, desde niño cantaba y muy poca gente conocía esa cualidad de mi persona, nunca lo hice porque me sentía muy a gusto, acompañando a otros artistas y produciendo para ellos, y para ser honesto, sentía temor de hacerlo en público sin mencionar mis inseguridades. Pero confío y tengo la plena convicción de que el momento definitivamente es ahora, como dicen: "Los tiempos de Dios son perfectos."
Just 3 years ago (2020) I started a new project (GABO BRANDON) but this time as a performer, since I was a child I sang and very few people knew that quality of me, I never did it because I felt very comfortable accompanying other artists and producing for them, and to be honest, I was afraid to do it in public without mentioning my insecurities. But I trust and have the full conviction that the time is definitely now, as they say: "God's timing is perfect."
Casi toda mi vida me he dedicado a la música, hasta el momento llevo acumulado unos 24 años de experiencia y contando... me siento muy afortunado por hacer lo que realmente me apasiona, y agradezco infinitamente a Dios por este don tan maravilloso.
Almost all my life I have dedicated myself to music, so far I have accumulated about 24 years of experience and counting... I feel very lucky to do what I am really passionate about, and I infinitely thank God for this wonderful gift.
Esto apenas es un pequeño resumen de mi vida... tengo muchísimas anécdotas por contar y espero hacerlo a la brevedad posible, gracias a todas las personas que se han cruzado en mi camino, gracias, gracias, gracias por todas las enseñanzas que me han dejado y que me han hecho ser lo que soy ahora.
