I enjoy listening to music a lot, and what I enjoy most about it is the ability to sing along with the lyrics. To do this, whenever I listen to music that I love, I always pay attention to the lyrics and try to learn them. Learning the lyrics of a song isn’t something that is easy to carry out; it takes a lot of dedication and practice to do so. The lyrics of a song usually consist of a chorus and verses. The verse is the part used in telling a story, while the chorus is the part usually repeated throughout the song, most especially at the end of each verse.

When it comes to learning the lyrics of a song, my best method of learning them is through the use of a phone. I have so many apps that I usually use to learn the lyrics of a song. Some of these apps are Boomplay and YouTube. The main reason why I used the phone as my method of learning lyrics is because it's easy, quick, and can be used anywhere, anytime.

Whenever I want to learn the lyrics of a song, my first step is to search for the song on my phone app using either Boomplay or YouTube. The good thing about all these apps is that they usually display the lyrics of the song while listening to it. Once I have the song, I listen to it. Listening to a song is the best way to learn the lyrics. So therefore, while listening to the song, it's always advisable to listen with complete attention. Listen to the song carefully over and over again, along with the lyrics, to figure out the beat, the tunes, the melody, and the right words used in the song.

Now that I'm familiar with the lyrics, the beat, the words, and the tunes of the songs, the next step is to create a story or understand the message that the singer is trying to deliver to the listener. This stage is the part I love most because I believe that every song has a message or a story to tell. I always try my best to create a story I can recall or a story suitable for the song. By doing this, I always flow with the song, get connected to the song, enjoy the song in my own way, and easily learn the lyrics.

After I have gotten used to the song, the next step is to sing it with the lyrics. I always carry out the singing with the lyrics just to check if I have learned the words accurately or gotten the beat very well. When I'm finally through with this part, the next thing is for me to try singing it without looking at the lyrics or singing it without any music.

This style of learning the lyrics of a song is what I usually use in learning a new song before carrying out the cover of the song here on Hive, and hopefully it has really been working for me so well.
