AFRI-INLEO INITIATIVE 3 || MY FAVORITE DIALECT SONG

I love music in my dialect (Yoruba). I have listened to different kinds and out of all the various types of dialect song that I have listened to, I would say Mo Sori Ire" by Paul I.K. Dairo is my favorite dialect song. Mo Sori Ire was released in the year 1992, and this song still remains my favorite dialect song.

While growing up, this song was one of the songs that my dad used to listen to. So, therefore, I have always loved this song right from my childhood. This song always comforts me and makes me happy whenever I listen to it. The song is so melodious, and it's a song of appreciation to God for his blessings and protection. Music means a lot to me. I love listening to it and when I listen to any music, I like to listen to every single word and find out what it means. I believe each word has its own meaning. The lyrics of the song are one of the main reasons why I love it. The lyrics of this song are so good and well composed. The lyrics are so wonderful and have a lot of beautiful messages.

There is a part in this song that talks about the importance of starting your day with appreciation to God. Listening to this song with the lyrics "Bi mo ba ji lo'wuro kutukutu ma d'ori mi mu", which means "when I wake up in the morning I will hold my head and appreciate God. This always reminds me that it is very important every in the morning to go to God with our appreciation. Starting off our day with God will never hurt our productivity, income or bring down our business for that day, rather it is going to bring about goodness, blessing and success to us. By appreciating God first thing in the morning, I always feel His peace and joy throughout that day.

The second reason why I love this song is that it encourages me to always appreciate God. The whole song is a song of appreciation to God. The singer appreciates God for the gift of life, for His blessing and protection over his life. The singer describes everything that God has done for him, and appreciate Him.

This song begins with the words, "Eleda mi mo di'e mu, which means my creator, I hold on to you". This statement has really been helping me a lot, right from childhood. The word means a lot to me. The words emphasize on the importance of putting our trust in God even during our bad times. So, right from my childhood, I never stopped believing in God. He is someone that I talk to every time of my day. I share my difficulties and my happiest moments with him. I see God as my light, my love, my joy and my everything.

Mo Sori Ire by Paul I.k. Dairo is my favorite dialect song and I'll never get tired of listening to it.

This is my participation post in favorite song in your dialect/culture of AFRI-INLEO INITIATIVE 3.
