Don't Say You Love Me

Words they say are a powerful thing, they can make or break a person. And some words carry more weight than others. In this case, such words are supposed to be used with a lot of care.

Have you ever thought that if everyone uses the words I Love You thoughtfully, the relationship world could be a lot less complicated?

The meaning of The word I love you has been very much tainted to some people that they do not know what to believe anymore.

Growing up, I was raised by parents who never said the words I Love You.
Good luck hearing the magic word from many African parents of their time lol 😆

But I felt loved by them every second of the day. I never had to doubt if they loved me. Their actions always speak louder than their voices. I could feel their love by the way they would speak to me, kindly and with a lot of compassion. I felt love because of how much they sacrificed and still do for me, and how far they are willing to go just to see that I'm okay.

Every day, every hour, every minute, and every second that passed by I knew how deeply they loved me even without them ever saying it in words.

And I think this kind of helps me know what to look out for when I start hearing the I Love You from outside. Can I feel it in my heart? Or I'm just hearing it.

Fast forward to when I reached the dating age, I heard the I love you
Uncountable times from people who simply only needed something from me, people who just wanted me for what they could get and not necessarily because they cared that much about me or saw me for who I am.
and that was when I began to give these magic words a second thought. Yes, a lot of people might find it so easy to say but one has to be very careful whether to believe or not.

I'm the kind of person who will never say that magic word unless I know it is true from the depths of my heart. Unless of course, my life depends on it, like a gun pointed at my head kind of situation lol. 😆 any malicious suitors thinking they can trick me into any form of commitment, by making me say the magic words, then good luck with them.

But sometimes, I see people use it just like a free meal ticket, with an agenda, simply to get what they want and not necessarily care about that person.

This can cause confusion or heartbreaks in the end. Confusion in the sense that, some do not know what to believe anymore because they have heard the I Love you many times which turned out to be false in the end and they no longer know if it's real or not.

And heart breaks when someone believes the words and it turns out to be false in the long run.

I still remember my roommate from my NYSC days, who came home one day teary-eyed because she found out that a guy who had turned these magic words into a chorus and sang to her for the last couple of months had been nothing but a cheat all along.

This award-winning group of singers called, Fifft Harmony captures this thought of mine perfectly when they sing, Don't say you love me

I first heard this song from a Tick Tock user about a month ago and I was immediately hooked by its lyrics. This led me to search for the song on YouTube and get to know how incredibly talented those singers are.

Aside from the lyrics that resonate with me so much, their performance is very entertaining, with great vibes that left me singing and dancing along.

I believe people need to think about the intention behind these magic words, before confessing or believing in them.
At the end of the day, The real meaning of I Love You is not found in the word itself but in the intention behind it. And Dont say you love me unless you do

Thank you so very much for visiting my blog, do have a blissful time at your end.

I think we have all fallen for the three magic words one way or the other. I think when I hear the word, the person becomes a suspect to me unless the person's action is matched with the words. It is hard to come by genuine love these days. I love the song, the melody is cool. I will check it out.

Yes, we must find out that people match their actions with the magic word.

I'm glad you like the song, and thank you for stopping by !LUV

Nicely put. I think the phrase requires an understanding of what the person means, as we ll as their intentions. Actions speak loudly.

believe people need to think about the intention behind these magic words, before confessing or believing in them.

This is nothing but the truth. A lot of people have vainly used those words that some of us look suspiciously at anyone saying it, because of past hurts and betrayals.

Yet, as you rightly said, the true meaning of those magic words lie in the intention behind them 🎯

Wow, what a beautiful message, we should not deceive people with the magic word if we do not mean it.

These days I find it hard to believe those words except it's from family. Most people just say it without knowing what it really means.

Kudos to you for being sure of what you feel before using the three magic words.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe from people except my family. And also we should not deceive people if we don't mean the word.

Sometimes it is hard to believe anymore, and yeah, we have to mean it before telling people we love them. !LUV
