¡Buenas mis panas amantes de la musica! ¿Como estan? espero de corazón que muy bine, en esta oportunidad nos vamos a las tierras de Jamaica a conocer los mejores éxitos del que fue, es y sera, el mayor exponente del Reggae, un símbolo de amor y paz, una ideología, un estilo de vida y sobretodo, un artista que llevo su genero al telón internacional, no son pocos los méritos que tiene Bob Marley y en esta oportunidad, intentare un poco de todo, pero principalmente, exploraremos las que me parecen sus mejores canciones y el porque su leyenda se extiende hasta nuestros días. ¡Comencemos!

I hope with all my heart that you are very well, in this opportunity we are going to the lands of Jamaica to know the best hits of the one who was, is and will be, the greatest exponent of Reggae, a symbol of love and peace, an ideology, a lifestyle and above all, an artist who took his genre to the international curtain, there are many merits that Bob Marley has and in this opportunity, I will try a little of everything, but mainly, we will explore what I think are his best songs and why his legend extends to the present day. Let's get started!
A diferencia de lo que muchos creen, Bob Marley no tuvo un despegue brutal que llego a las masas en cuestión de días, más bien, en el contexto en el que se encontraba la isla de Jamaica en ese entonces, con pobreza extrema, divisiones políticas y demás, hacia muy difícil que la música pudiera florecer sin tener que obligatoriamente tocar temas políticos o sensibles para ese momento, pero pese a todo, Bob logro destacar, aunque claro, no lo hizo solo, los responsables de llevar su música a todo el país pasaban por las manos del propio Bob y de sus compañeros, en la banda de The Wailers, tuvieron bastantes dificultades para alcanzar el éxito, pero finalmente, con unas de sus mejores canciones, "I Shot The Sheriff" lograron que se los reconociera en el mundo, que el grupo ya contaba on bastante fama en la propia Jamaica pero las aspiraciones eran llevar su genero, el Reggae, a lo más alto de la palestra internacional.

No fue un camino fácil, de hecho, podríamos decir que consolidar la imagen de la banda, su genero y música en el mundo les tomo toda una década, pero sacando albums y acumulando exitos, Bob Marley & The Wailers se convirtieron en un referente alabados por sus mensajes y más poderosamente por ser representantes de la fe Rastafari, sus canciones a menudo venian con mensajes de apoyaban la defensa legitima de los derechos, el cuestionamiento a ciertas autoridades y claro, a vivencias personales del propio Bob Marley.
It was not an easy road, in fact, we could say that consolidating the image of the band, their genre and music in the world took them a whole decade, but by releasing albums and accumulating hits, Bob Marley & The Wailers became a reference praised for their messages and more powerfully for being representatives of the Rastafari faith, their songs often came with messages that supported the legitimate defense of rights, the questioning of certain authorities and of course, personal experiences of Bob Marley himself.
Tal vez con la canción que mejor pueden resumir el contexto en el que vivia la banda y especialmente Bob Marley es, War, donde en una guerra fria donde las potencias movían fichas, los conflictos armados entre países se intensificaron tremendamente, prácticamente, en casi todos los continentes había un conflicto de mayor o menor medida, y lo que ejemplifica esta canción, es ese mensaje de que aunque la guerra nos rodea, lo único que hay que recordar es que todos necesitamos es amor y no violencia, es un mensaje simple si te pones a pensar, pero que uno que viniendo de la mano de esta manda y de este icono tan particular, que vivía acorde a los mensajes que transmitía con su música, lo hace mucho más significativo y simbólico.
Perhaps the song that can best summarize the context in which the band lived and especially Bob Marley is, War, where in a cold war where the powers were moving chips, armed conflicts between countries intensified tremendously, virtually every continent had a conflict of varying degrees, and what exemplifies this song, is that message that although war surrounds us, the only thing to remember is that we all need love and not violence, it is a simple message if you think about it, but one that coming from the hand of this manda and this particular icon, who lived according to the messages he transmitted with his music, makes it much more meaningful and symbolic.
Bob Marley, lamentablemente ya no camino entre nosotros, pero su espíritu vive en su música, como la de muchos artistas que se dedicaron en cuerpo y alma a este arte tan necesario para aliviar el corazón humano, Bob Marley descansa con su eterna sonrisa al lado de todos los grandes de la música con merecido reconocimiento y pese a que ya no podremos volver a escucharlo, su mensaje, se seguirá transmitiendo en Jamaica, en cualquier lugar donde suene su éxito más difundido y una de las razones por las que conozco a este artista, "Could You Be Loved?" tema que salio en 1980, un año antes de la partida del Rey del Reggae.
Bob Marley, unfortunately no longer among us, but his spirit lives on in his music, like that of many artists who dedicated themselves body and soul to this art so necessary to soothe the human heart, Bob Marley rests with his eternal smile next to all the greats of music with deserved recognition and although we can no longer hear him again, his message will continue to be transmitted in Jamaica, wherever his most popular hit is played and one of the reasons why I know this artist, "Could You Be Loved?"released in 1980, a year before the departure of the King of Reggae.
