One movie and one song recommendation - October 27 2025

Hi Actifitters,
because of some intense workouts two days ago, I took it easy yesterday. I only managed to complete the number of steps I set as my daily goal. Since the weather was truly miserable, I really did not want to go outside. It was not only stormy, it was also raining cats and dogs. So I decided to do some spot jogging in the warmth inside while watching a movie. Even though I saw the film years ago, it was a good decision to watch it again as it is truly a recommendation.
Movie recommendation
The title I watched is called "16 Blocks". It's an Hollywood genre mix with elements from thriller, drama and action. It is from 2006 with a duration of 102 minutes and an age rating of 12.
On imdb the movie is rated with 6.6/10.
In short, it's about the detective, Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis), who has a full-blown alcohol problem and on the day of the action just wants to go home hungover, when he is entrusted with a case that will turn his day completely upside down. Actually, he is only supposed to drive a prisoner to court where he has to appear as a witness. However, that sounds easier than it is, as a few of Jack's corrupt colleagues are trying to prevent that at all costs.
16 Blocks is a clear recommendation and I personally rate it 7 out of 10.

I'm already a big fan of the older Bruce Willis films, but the fact that Yasiin Bey plays the prisoner made the film a must-see-again for me. Before his acting career, Yasiin primarily made music under the stage name "Mos Def" and contributed to fantastic songs such as "Travellin' Man" by DJ Honda.
