The Entrance of the Fallas Marching Bands - Fallas 2023 - Plaza de la Virgin
Yes, fireworks are a huge deal for Fallas but the Marching Bands are almost as equally important. Each Fallas commission seems to have their own band and they accompany the Falleras and Falleros of the casals to all kinds of different official appointments.
On the day of the Crida (the last day of February) is also the day of the Entrance of the Marching Bands - they gather at Plaza de la Virgin, then march past by the Cathedral and through Plaza de la Reina and continue until they reach the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, while doing what they do best ... play music!
