Diary of a mom in distress: With the satisfaction of a job well done [EN]//[ES]
It's almost midnight, and my day is not over, I still have a load of clothes to take out of the washing machine, feed the cats and the dogs and wash some dishes, but I must say that today I feel the satisfaction of having done my duty, we have finished the day of accompanying the band of the music school, It was a day of great nostalgia for me, because my beloved grandmother Pancha loved to go every Friday pilgrimage to see the sea of people that used to come to town, and she always took me as an accompanist, now it is my turn to accompany Mathias, this was the second year accompanying the music school with this work.
More mature and more empowered with his instrument, and seeing with which other instrument he will accompany next year, one of the things I am grateful to music is the discipline it has given to my son, and even to me, because I am one of the most undisciplined people you can ever meet.
The appointment was very early today, at 7:00 am, they had to be at the agreed place, to organize the band, and start the tour almost two hours later, you can imagine that my legs hurt horribly, because it was all morning standing and walking and then get to work, I have had no rest all day, but that does not erase the smile from my face, that smile of pride, because although Mathias is that earthquake that messes up everything in my house and even in my life, in the same way, gives me the strength to move forward.
I only ask life to grant me the necessary health to be able to accompany my little one for many more years and continue to see his evolution and maturity.

Casi es media noche, y mi día no termina, aún me queda una tanda de ropa por sacar de la lavadora, darle de comer a los gatos y a las perras y lavar algunos platos, pero debo decir, que hoy siento la satisfacción del deber cumplido, hemos terminado la jornada de acompañamiento con la banda de la escuela de música, a la peregrinación a la gruta de la Virgen de Lourdes, un día de mucha nostalgia para mí, pues mi amada abuela Pancha adoraba ir todos los viernes de peregrinación a ver ese mar de gente que solía llegar al pueblo, y siempre me llevaba como acompañante, ahora me toca acompañar a Mathias, este fue el segundo año acompañando a la escuela de música con esta labor.
Más maduro y más empoderado de su instrumento, y viendo con que otro instrumento acompañara en el año próximo, una de las cosas que le agradezco a la música, es la disciplina que le ha otorgado a mi hijo, e incluso a mí, pues, soy uno de los seres más indisciplinados que puedas llegar a conocer.
La cita fue hoy muy temprano, a las 7:00 am, debían estar en el lugar acordado, para ir organizando la banda, y arrancar el recorrido casi dos horas después, se podrán imaginar que las piernas me duelen horrible, pues fue toda la mañana de pie y caminando y luego llegar a trabajar, no he tenido descanso en todo el día, pero eso no me borra la sonrisa del rostro, esa sonrisa de orgullo, pues aunque Mathias es ese terremoto que desordena todo en mi casa e incluso en mi vida, de esa misma manera, me da la firmeza para seguir adelante.
Solo le pido a la vida, que me otorgue la salud necesaria para poder acompañar a mi pequeño por muchísimos años más y continuar viendo su evolución y madurez.
