MONEY ART: HECTOR LAVOE EL CANTANTE ACRYLIC PAINTING [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear friends, I hope you are feeling very well. Today I want to share with you a drawing of music with a lot of Latin and Caribbean flavor. I have made a small painting of one of the greatest exponents of the Salsa musical genre, the legend Hector Lavoe. I really like the old style of salsa music which sounds very Caribbean with the rhythms that characterize us as Latin and at the same time has the African roots of those slaves who were brought to these lands and left us their culture in music. , giving rise to numerous rhythms. Hector Lavoe became a legend bringing this rhythm to many corners of the world, especially to Africa, when he traveled with other salsa singers to that continent in the 70s. I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien hoy quiero compartirles un dibujo de música con mucho sabor latino y caribeño, he realizado una pequeña pintura de uno de los máximos exponentes del género musical Salsa, la leyenda Hector Lavoe. A mi me gusta mucho el estilo antigua de la música salsa la cual suena bien caribeña con los ritmos que nos caracterizan como latinos y a su vez lleva impreso las raíces africanas de aquellos esclavos que fueron traídos a estas tierras y nos dejaron su cultura en la música, dando origen a numerosos ritmos. Hector Lavoe se convirtió en una leyenda llevando este ritmo a muchos rincones del mundo, especialmente a África, cuando viajó junto con otros cantantes de salsa a ese continente en los años 70. PROCESS

This time I had a lot of problems making the drawing, the paper money and the printed figure of Simón Bolívar made it very difficult to make a sketch for the portrait, so with white paint I made a stain that covered the entire area and at the same time remained the figure of the singer's face to be able to draw the sketch. Once this step was done and when the paint dried I began to draw with a 5H pencil which is a hard lead and is the best for making sketches, this is how I made the face and each of the parts!

Esta vez tuve muchos problemas para hacer el dibujo, el papel moneda y la figura de Simón Bolívar que trae impreso dificultaba mucho poder hacer un boceto para el retrato, así que con pintura blanca hice una mancha que cubriera toda esa zona y a la vez me quedara la figura del rostro del cantante para poder dibujar el boceto. Una vez realizado este paso y al secarse la pintura comencé a dibujar con un lápiz 5H que es de mina dura y es lo mejor para hacer bocetos, así fui haciendo el rostro y cada una de las partes!

After finishing the previous step I began to mix paints, in this case I used sienna brown mixed with white, to obtain a skin tone that would serve as a base and from there begin to darken and remove expression lines from the face. So I covered most of the face without including the eyes, since those will be a different tone.

Luego de terminar el paso anterior comencé a mezclar pinturas, en este caso utilicé marrón siena mezclado con blanco, para sacar un tono de piel que me sirviera como base y a partir de ahí comenzar a oscurecer y sacar las líneas de expresión del rostro. Así que cubrí la mayor parte del rostro sin incluir los ojos, ya que esos irán en otro tono diferente.

Next I start to darken the tones a little more to be able to make the expression lines, so I start with the lips, then the left side of the face. In the same way I am giving more color to the entire part of the eyes, first I paint a base for the glass of the lenses, and then I make the expression lines for the eyes.

Seguidamente comienzo a oscurecer un poco más los tonos para poder hacer las líneas de expresión, así que comienzo por los labios, seguidamente pór la parte izquierda del rostro. De la misma forma voy dándole más color a toda la parte de los ojos, en primer lugar pinto una base para el vidrio de los lentes, y luego hago las líneas de expresión para los ojos.

The next step was to concentrate on the eyes, so here I made a mix with dark colors like brown and also a little ocher, ultimately I used black, but mixed with ocher so as not to make it too intense. In the same way I outlined the sunglasses that Hector Lavoe always wore at his concerts and that were part of his outfit.

El siguiente paso fue concentrarme en los ojos, así que aquí hice una mezcla con colores oscuros comoel marrón y también un poco de ocre, en última instancia utilicé negro, pero mezclado con ocre para no hacerlo muy intenso. De las mismas forma fui delineando las gafas de sol que siempre usaba Hector Lavoe en sus conciertos y que fueron parte de su atuendo.

To finish, I painted my hair using a brown base to which I then added darker mixtures until my hair was a uniform color. After that I began to make light tones to highlight the light reflections on the hair, in the same way I made more details in the hand that is visible and part of his clothes, in this way I finished this painting in honor of the singer of singers!

Para finalizar pinté el cabello utilizando una base de color marrón al que luego fui agregando mezclas más oscuras hasta que el cabello me quedara de un color uniforme. Después de eso comencé a hacer tonos claros para resaltar los reflejos de luz sobre el cabello, de la misma forma hice más detalles en la mano que esta visible y parte de su ropa, de esta forma terminé esta pintura en honor al cantante de cantantes!

This is how the tribute to Hector Lavoe was, a singer who died a long time ago, but who did not need death to become a legend, he had a very tragic life, full of many excesses but who brought joy to many countries with his passion for salsa. This genre is a work of art that arose thanks to the fusion of many cultures, where many African sounds predominate. Así quedó el homenaje a Hector Lavoe, cantante que murió hace mucho tiempo, pero que no necesito la muerte para convertirse en leyenda, tuvo una vida muy trágica, llena de muchos excesos pero que alegro muchos países con su pasión por la salsa. Este género es una obra de arte que se dio gracias a la fusión de muchas culturas, donde predomina n muchos sonidos africanos.
