#TBT - We played to Help!! 🎙️🎸🎶🤘❤️🔥 [English Subs]
Hello friends of Hive and TBT Thursdays, I'm Fernando Benedetti and I come before you to continue sharing my adventures with my old rock band called Teoría Cero. Today we will place ourselves in the day December 15, 2010, when with the guys we went to play outside our city for the 1st time; I confess that I did not want to participate in that event, but as we did votes, it was 3 against 1 hahaha so we decided to go.
I am a person who feels very vividly the presentiments and the day before our trip, something told me that there would be inconveniences and so it was....
For this presentation we were invited by a friend of a rock band called Fadox, who organized the event because for that week and due to the heavy rains that hit the state of Aragua, there were many families affected and therefore the idea was to take to the disaster sites, food, clothes and what was needed to help these people who were going through a difficult time.
When we were informed about this, something I did not like was that the event was sponsored by the Mayor's Office of the city of La Victoria, and I say I did not like it because I was and still am an opponent to the Chavez regime and his “legacy”, which at some point made me promise myself that I would never do anything in favor of them, but I agreed because it was about many children, the elderly, fathers and mothers of families who had lost everything.
With this preamble I was already predisposed, however, all the organizers were very kind and treated us very well, I can't deny that. The truth is that we were summoned at 4 pm at the art museum of the city of La Victoria, located downtown, where we would play with other bands.
The day arrived and we left at 2 pm, the city was less than an hour away, but on the way something happened to us that is the central axis of this post.... to know what it is about, I invite you to join me ¡Let's Rock! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
Hola amigos de Hive y de los jueves de TBT, soy Fernando Benedetti y vengo ante ustedes para seguir compartiendo mis aventuras con mi antigua banda de rock llamada Teoría Cero. Hoy nos situaremos en el día 15 de diciembre del año 2010, cuando con los chicos salimos a tocar fuera de nuestra ciudad por 1era vez; les confieso que yo no quería participar en ese evento, pero como hicimos votaciones, fueron 3 contra 1 jajaja así que decidimos ir.
Yo soy persona de sentir muy vívidamente los presentimientos y el día anterior a nuestro viaje, algo me decía que habrían inconvenientes y así fue...
Para esta presentación fuimos invitados por un amigo de una banda de rock llamada Fadox, quienes organizaron el evento ya que para esa semana y debido a las fuertes lluvias que azotaron el estado Aragua, hubo muchas familias damnificadas y por ende la idea era llevar a los sitios de desastre, alimentos, ropa y lo necesario para ayudar a estas personas que pasaban un momento difícil.
Cuando nos informan sobre esto, algo que no me gustó era que el evento lo patrocinaba la alcaldía de la ciudad de La Victoria, y digo que no me gustó porque yo era y sigo siendo opositor al régimen de Chávez y su "legado", lo que en algún momento me hizo prometerme a mi mismo que jamás haría algo a favor de ellos, pero accedí porque se trataba de muchos niños, ancianos, padres y madres de familia que habían perdido todo.
Ya con este preámbulo yo iba predispuesto, sin embargo, todos los organizadores fueron muy amables y nos trataron demasiado bien, eso no lo puedo negar. Lo cierto es que nos citaron a las 4 pm en el museo de arte de la ciudad de La Victoria, ubicado en el centro, lugar donde tocaríamos con otras bandas más.
El día llegó y nos fuimos a las 2 pm, la ciudad nos quedaba a menos de una hora, pero en el camino nos ocurrió algo que es el eje central de este post... para saber de qué se trata, los invito a que me acompañen ¡A Rockear! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
If you saw the video before reading this, you will already know what happened to us; halfway to our destination, a rear tire of the car exploded while we were listening to music. Something you can't see in the video is that the car jumped, but thank God, Marco (drummer) didn't lose control of the steering wheel keeping the car in the lane while we were trying to get to the side of the road to check the condition of the vehicle. We were very lucky, because we were in the fast lane and behind us there were trucks, buses, motorcycles and cars at high speed. Despite this we were able to pull over to the side of the road to calm down from the scare we had just had.
As you can see in the photos, the explosion of the tire, broke the rear bumper and the red brake light; we had to act fast if we wanted to arrive on time...
Already at the side of the road we realized that we had crashed in a dangerous area, a very famous area because at certain times of the day and night from the mountains they threw objects from the mountains to make the vehicles lose control and thus approach them to rob them. This was in the news for a few months at that time and guess what? 2 very suspicious guys approached us. The guys looked us up and down and saw the car and approached the car with a lot of curiosity, that's when the light bulb went on and we told them, if you help us we will give you some money so you can have some for the day and so it was. The guys helped us by changing the damaged tire and went to a mechanic shop nearby to bring us an additional spare tire... incredible, isn't it?
Si ven el video antes de leer esto, ya tendrán conocimiento de lo que nos pasó; a medio camino hacia nuestro destino, una llanta trasera del carro explotó mientras íbamos escuchando música. Algo que no se ve en el video es que el carro saltó, pero gracias a Dios, Marco (baterista) no perdió el control del volante manteniendo el carro en el carril mientras buscábamos orillarnos y así ver el estado del vehículo. Tuvimos mucha suerte, porque estábamos en el carril rápido y detrás de nosotros venían camiones, autobuses, motos y carros a gran velocidad. Pese a esto pudimos hacernos a un lado de la carretera para calmarnos del susto que acabábamos de pasar.
Como pueden ver en las fotos, la explosión del caucho, rompió el parachoques trasero y la luz roja del frenado; había que actuar rápido si queríamos llegar a tiempo...
Ya a un lado de la vía nos dimos cuenta que nos habíamos accidemtado en una zona peligrosa, una zona muy famosa porque en ciertas horas del día y de la noche desde las montañas lanzaban objetos para que los vehículos perdieran el control y así abordarlos para robarles. Esto fue noticia por unos meses en esa época y adivinen qué? 2 sujetos muy sospechosos se nos acercaron. Los chicos nos veían de arriba a abajo y veían el carro y se acercaban al mismo con mucha curiosidad, fue ahí cuando se nos prendió el bombillo y les dijimos, si nos ayudan les damos algo de dinero para que tengan para el día y así fue. Los chicos nos ayudaron cambiando el caucho dañado y fueron a un taller mecánico que quedaba cerca a traernos una llanta adicional de repuesto... increíble no?
We arrived in the city of La Victoria at approximately 3:30 pm and as there was time, we looked for a mechanic shop to put the new spare tire, because the one we put on was very worn and could give us a surprise on our return home.
Once the car was in good condition, we got in and headed downtown to the place of the event. When we arrived we could see that it was a place that was being renovated since it looked very old and deteriorated, it was evident that they were injecting money because when we entered the facilities were already painted and decorated and that day was the inauguration of the museum as a work in progress that would soon be open to the public.
The organizers welcomed us and gave us hydration and food before starting the day; they were very attentive to us and that personally, gave me a lot of calm after a few minutes of chaos.
The event had delays and we were informed that it would start late because the sound guys had not arrived and some of the bands that would play before us did not know how to get to the venue because they came from other cities as well. The fact is that the event started at 6 pm and we would possibly leave very late from it, something that did worry me because of what I told you about the highway and the late night robberies.
Llegamos a la ciudad de La Victoria aproximadamente a las 3:30 pm y como había tiempo, buscamos un taller mecánico para colocar la llanta nueva de repuesto, porque la que pusimos estaba muy desgastada y nos podía dar una sorpresa a nuestro regreso a casa.
Ya con el carro en óptimas condiciones nos montamos y partimos al centro de la ciudad al lugar del evento. Cuando llegamos pudimos notar que era un lugar que estaban renovando ya que lucía muy viejo y deteriorado, se notaba que le estaban inyectando dinero porque al entrar las instalaciones ya estaban pintadas y decoradas y es que ese día era la inauguración de ese museo como una obra en desarrollo que pronto estaría abierta al público.
Los organizadores nos recibieron y nos dieron hidratación y alimentos antes de comenzar la jornada; fueron muy atentos con nosotros y eso en lo personal, me dio mucha calma luego de unos minutos previos de caos.
El evento tuvo retrasos y nos informaron que comenzaría tarde porque los chicos del sonido no habían llegado y algunas de las bandas que tocarían antes de nosotros no sabían llegar al lugar porque venían de otras ciudades también. El hecho es que el evento inició a las 6 pm y posiblemente saldríamos muy tarde de ello, algo que sí me preocupó por lo que les dije sobre la autopista y los robos nocturnos.
To have a good time while it was our turn to play, we had a few cold beers to relax; we really enjoyed the presentations prior to ours and that helped us to be more concentrated when it was time to play.
There was a total of almost 10 groups and we played second to last. The moment came and we did what we knew how to do, only that during the presentation many things happened with the guitarist that you can see in the video, which left us with an unpleasant feeling that would be the beginning of a breaking point in the band in the following months, a story that I will tell you later in another TBT.
When we finished we were applauded a lot and after a few closing words I gave, the guys and I hugged each other happy to have accomplished our goal that day regardless of the difficulties we had.
We stayed until the end of the event and they invited us to participate in upcoming cultural projects in the city, the guys just looked at me and knew we wouldn't do it hahaha.
Para pasarla bien mientras era nuestro turno para tocar, tomamos unas cervezas bien frías para relajarnos; disfrutamos mucho las presentaciones previas a la nuestra y eso nos sirvió para estar más concentrados a la hora de tocar.
Había un total de casi 10 agrupaciones y nosotros tocamos de antepenúltimos. El momento llegó e hicimos lo que sabíamos hacer, solo que, durante la presentación pasaron muchas cosas con el guitarrista que las podrán ver en el video, lo que hizo que nos quedara un sinsabor el cual sería el inicio de un punto de quiebre en la banda los meses siguientes, historia que luego les contaré en otro TBT.
Cuando culminamos nos aplaudieron bastante y luego de unas palabras que di de cierre, los chicos y yo nos abrazamos felices de haber cumplido nuestro objetivo ese día sin importar las dificultades que tuvimos..
Nos quedamos hasta el final del evento y nos invitaron a participar en próximos proyectos culturales de la ciudad, los chicos solo me miraron y sabían que no lo haríamos jajaja.
With this photo I close this post; without a doubt I did not feel at ease from the start, during our presentation and also on the way back home. The important thing was that we complied and took our donations, since not only the bands would do that, the attendees to the event and the public officials of the mayor's office, would make their donation and would be in charge of taking what was collected to the area devastated by the rains. I am satisfied in that sense, but if I evaluate the band's presentation, it was of a very low level compared to what we had been doing. I don't discard the scare we had and the anxiety that what happened left us, but we have to take into account that to be professionals we had to perform even in moments like that in the best way, I know it sounds demanding, but it was our duty to fulfill our biggest goals as a band.
Something you don't know, is that the next day we would play again in another charity event with the same reason, only that it was carried out by a non-governmental organization and many recognized bands would participate, and yes, we participated, but you can't imagine what happened to make that possible because we never thought we could play in such an event of that level, but well, that will be the next TBT so don't miss it hehe. Con esta foto cierro este post; sin duda no me sentí a gusto desde la salida, durante nuestra presentación y tampoco de regreso a casa. Lo importante fue que cumplimos y llevamos nuestros donativos, ya que no solo las bandas harían eso, los asistentes al evento y los funcionarios públicos de la alcaldía, harían su donativo y se encargarían de llevar lo recogido a la zona devastada por las lluvias. Me doy por satisfecho en ese sentido, pero si evalúo la presentación de la banda, fue de muy bajo nivel comparado a lo que ya veníamos haciendo. No descarté el susto que tuvimos y la ansiedad que nos dejó lo sucedido, pero hay que tomar en cuenta que para ser profesionales debíamos rendir incluso en momentos así de la mejor manera, sé que suena exigente, pero era el deber ser para cumplir nuestras metas más grandes como banda.
Algo que no saben, es que al día siguiente tocaríamos nuevamente en otro evento benéfico con el mismo motivo, solo que era llevado a cabo por una organización no gubernamental y participarían muchas bandas reconocidas, y sí, nosotros participamos, pero no se imaginan lo que ocurrió para que eso fuera posible ya que nunca pensábamos que podíamos tocar en un evento así de ese nivel, pero bueno, ese será el próximo TBT así que no se lo pierdan jeje. Saludos Fernando 😁 tremendo susto pasaron ese día. Yo también habría estado con los pelos de punta al haberme accidentado en una zona no tan grata, por suerte, todo salió bien y hasta fueron socorridos por los chicos. Cómo tú dices, en cierta forma estabas predispuesto (con todo lo que venias pensando el día anterior) y bueno, no todo el que se acerca va con mala intención. Finalmente, lograron el objetivo de presentarse y ojalá si hayan llegado los donativos a las personas. Esos eventos pueden ser complicados, pero bueno, aquí estamos con un buen TBT jajaja un abrazo 🤗
Carmina qué gusto tenerte por aquí 🌹💖... mira espero que eso haya llegado a su destino en aquel momento, porque en efecto, pasan cosas jejeje 😅... Just my humanitarian part made me agree to play in that event, because we saw many photos of children especially those who could not find their parents because many houses collapsed due to the rains, it was very sad that time and the worst thing is that it was for Christmas 😔

Saludos amigo, que buena toda esa experiencia que les toco pasar en ese viaje y sin duda cada uno de esos momentos son de enseñanza y de esa manera seguir avanzando y disfrutando, además esas pistas que tocaron son perfectas y cada uno la rompió, lograron cautivar a todos y recibir muy buenos aplausos. Excelente que hayan tomado la idea de ir a tocar y esa primera vez siempre será muy bien recordada.

Hahahahaha 😁... Broooo actually Linkin Park was activated yesterday with their new vocalist and they sound great. Bro that day was crazy, if it wasn't for the beers and the rock, my spirits would not have helped much, because we were all tense because of what happened, but we unloaded as you say, with fury, despite the technical details of sound of which I did not speak hehe 😅

Que grato es ver actividades que sirvan de apoyo para esas personas que tanto lo necesitaron en su momento, esos gestos siempre serán una buena labor, como hemos hablado siempre. Cada vida es valiosa y hay que cuidarla ❤️.
Independientemente de dónde provenga la actividad, accediste y lo que importa es la intención de ayudar, eso súmalo a las cosas buenas que has venido haciendo en tu trayectoria como ser humano. (Al chico del principio lo iba a m4ta4r jajajaja me imagino que logro comunicarse)
Lo bueno es que conservaron la calma y que esos chicos sospechoso resultaron ser lo que los ayudaron al final.
Me gustó mucho tu TBT y a pesar de ser casi los últimos, se la pasaron genial. Las fotos quedaron hermosas, y resalta más la belleza por el vocalista principal. ¿Me puedes pasar su número? ☺️🥰🤭🤭

Jajajajaja bueno el número ya lo tienes 😘.. habla con él 😁... Y mira por otro lado pues al final de t odo, cumplimos y yo me sentí bien, no satisfecho al 100% pero bien porque sé que esa tocada ayudó en una situación muy particular. Creo que las cervezas nos ayudaron a estar calmados y alegres para la ocasión y tocamos con furia, ya verás las siguientes presentaciones claro que sí 🤘
El tema con Rubén (bajista) es que su novia estaba en la ciudad y nos esperaba para llegar todos juntos al lugar, de hecho ella fue la fotógrafa y quien grabó el video con mi antigua cámara que ya boté por lo vieja y dañada que estaba. A él le preocupaba porque ellos estaban sin teléfono y el me pidió para llamarla y la contactamos para tranquilidad de él y de todos. Gracias por el dato, le escribiré para ver qué tal! 😘✨ Le diré que es bello ese vocalista, además de que se lucieron en el concierto me gustó la potencia en cada canción.
Sobretodo la canción "Por siempre" yo tuve la dicha de verla en acústico pero la versión punk es fantástica. 🔥🔥🎸✌️✨❤️
mi bro que odisea... a veces cuando algo no fluye es mejor no ir... también soy partidario de lo mismo de escuchar mi voz interior pero bueno 3 contra 1,... que se puede hacer, pero chimbas esas vibras gubernamentales que no cuadran
lo bueno es que pudieron tocar, fueron aplaudidos e hicieron otros toques después. que es lo importante! igual uno no esta al máximo en esas pasaderas de roncha tocando en vivo, también me paso y lo se muy bien.

Wow, you were so cool back then bro. That must have been an unforgettable experience, especially since you had a premonition. Sometimes it's the situations we don't want that teach us valuable lessons, especially when it's to help people in need. It's great to hear about your adventures with Teoría Cero, and I'm really curious about the central incident you mentioned.
Bro that's right, important life lessons and learning; what happened is that on the trip one of the car tires exploded and that made me see that the premonition came true because I did not want to play in that event days before, however I did it because it was a group decision.
