Hello friends of Hive and the TBT community, we meet again to remember those special moments that have marked our lives and it is a pleasure for me to be with you to continue sharing my adventures with Teoría Cero.

The title of this post leads us once again to philosophize, because there are things in life that happen without us expecting them, in this case I have my answer and I know that you will also tell me about it in the comments, we may coincide in our vision.

I do not believe in luck, that is more for games of chance, but for life itself God has something written for each one of us and He makes us see it through signs that lead us to a destiny. If you remember last week I told you about a presentation I did with the band in a city close to ours and despite the inconveniences it went well and we fulfilled the goal of playing and helping; the next day we had to perform in another event to benefit the victims of the rains of that month of December, but before I tell you how it went I will tell you how we got to this event in which we were not scheduled to play.

In that week the country was convulsed in various areas by heavy rains and many events were made to help, in our city were also made, however, none called for rock bands. Several promoters of musical events got together and decided to make the RUD “Rockeros Unidos por los Damnificados” (Rockers United for the Victims in english) in a very well known night club in the city where very famous and high level bands played.

This event had a line-up of many bands, bands with a lot of trajectory in the local rock scene; Luis our guitarist knew the hostess of the event and told her about Teoría Cero and about the fact that we would like to play at the RUD. The girl told him that there was no chance because everything was ready, I remember that was on Thursday, but on Friday night the girl contacted Luis to tell him that a band was not going to play and that they wanted to replace them with another one and guess what? that was us, but the surprise did not end there, it turned out that we had to open the event, that is, we were the first to play and that was for us a total honor.

When I say an honor is because it is a big responsibility and also because there were many known bands that we admired such as: Dogma, Venezea, Rockthem, Reverso, Torkhe and Sexto Sonar mainly, who in fact were the ones who closed the event. You can imagine how excited we were among so many incredible bands, the great thing about it all is that we had rehearsed enough all that week.

The event was going to be on Friday the 15th but it was moved to Saturday night due to logistical issues and everything fell into place because that Friday was the last TBT event. Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad TBT, nos reencontramos nuevamente para rememorar esos momentos especiales que han marcado nuestras vidas y es un placer para mi estar con ustedes para seguirles compartiendo mis aventuras con Teoría Cero.

El título de este post nos lleva de una vez a filosofar, debido a que hay cosas en la vida que ocurren sin nosotros esperarlas, en este caso yo tengo mi respuesta y sé que ustedes también me comentarán al respecto en los comentarios, posiblemente coincidamos en nuestra visión.

Yo de por sí no creo en la suerte, eso es más para los juegos de azar, pero para la vida misma Dios tiene escrito algo para cada uno de nosotros y nos lo hace ver mediante señales que nos llevan a un destino. Si recuerdan la semana pasada les hablé de una presentación que hice con la banda en una ciudad cercana a la nuestra y a pesar de los inconvenientes nos fue bien y cumplimos el objetivo de tocar y ayudar; al día siguiente tuvimos que presentarnos en otro evento en beneficio a los damnificados por las lluvias de ese mes de diciembre, pero antes de decirles como nos fue les contaré como llegamos a este evento en el cual no estaba pautado tocar.

En esa semana el país estaba convulsionado en diversas zonas por las intensas lluvias y se hicieron muchos eventos para ayudar, en nuestra ciudad se hicieron también, sin embargo, ninguno convocaba a bandas de rock. Varias promotoras de eventos musicales se unieron y decidieron hacer el RUD "Rockeros Unidos por los Damnificados" en un local nocturno muy reconocido de la ciudad donde tocaban grupos muy famosos y de alto nivel.

Este evento tenía un cartel de muchas bandas pautadas, bandas de mucha trayectoria en la escena rockera local; Luis nuestro guitarrista conocía a la anfitriona del evento y le habló de Teoría Cero y sobre el hecho que nos gustaría tocar en el RUD. La chica le dijo que no había chance porque ya todo estaba listo, recuerdo que eso fue el día jueves, pero el viernes en horas de la noche la chica contacta a Luis para decirle que una banda no iba a tocar y que querían sustituirlos con otra y adivinen qué? esos éramos nosotros, pero la sorpresa no terminaba ahí, resulta que nos tocaba abrir el evento, es decir, éramos los primeros en tocar y eso fue para nosotros un honor total.

Cuando digo que un honor es porque es una responsabilidad grande y además que habían muchas bandas conocidas y que admirábamos tales como: Dogma, Venezea, Rockthem, Reverso, Torkhe y Sexto Sonar principalmente, quienes de hecho fueron los que dieron cierre al evento. Se imaginarán la emoción de nosotros entre tantas bandas increíbles, lo genial de todo es que toda esa semana habíamos ensayado lo suficiente.

El evento iba a ser el viernes 15 pero se pasó para el sábado para la noche por temas de logística y todo nos cayó como anillo al dedo porque ese viernes ocurrió el evento del TBT pasado. Our joy was immense, before playing we enjoyed with many friends known to the band. In the photo above I am with Mr Maggot and Paola Carta, announcers of Radio Icónica, a radio station in charge of spreading the rock culture in the city. In the next picture Luis and I were with Jean, bass player of the band Rockthem and with Gilberto Riera bass player of Dogma; in the last picture I was with Saraí Abreu vocalist of Dogma. All of them great friends of ours and with whom we shared a lot when we coincided in rock concerts.

In the photo below we are accompanied by Jesus Almenara guitarist of the band Antes del Eclipse (a great friend and musician) and Daniel Rodriguez, a friend who always accompanied us to our presentations. In the middle of a few beers and a good conversation, they gave us advice and support for when we started playing because obviously we were a little nervous about opening an event while the other bands were watching us.

Nuestra alegría era inmensa, antes de tocar disfrutamos con muchos amigos conocidos de la banda. En la foto de arriba estoy con Mr Maggot y Paola Carta, locutores de Radio Icónica, una emisora radial encargada de difundir la cultura rock en la ciudad. En la siguiente foto estábamos Luis y yo con Jean, bajista de la banda Rockthem y con Gilberto Riera bajista de Dogma; en la última foto yo estaba con Saraí Abreu vocalista de Dogma. Todos ellos grandes amigos nuestros y con quien compartíamos mucho cuando coincidíamos en conciertos de rock.

En la foto de abajo nos acompaña Jesús Almenara guitarrista de la banda Antes del Eclipse (un gran amigo y músico) y Daniel Rodriguez, un amigo que siempre nos acompañaba a nuestras presentaciones. En medio de unas cervezas y una buena charla, nos daban consejos y apoyo para cuando empezáramos a tocar porque obviamente estábamos algo nerviosos por dar apertura a un evento mientras las demás bandas nos veían.

The time came and we were called to the stage for a brief sound check; this event had a great sound that unfortunately could not be captured well on camera because it is heard very saturated, for which I apologize in advance. The truth is that in the sound check the people in charge asked us to play a song with clean sound in the guitars and then one with distortion in the same, to equalize everything very well and so the sound experience was the best possible. Then the hostess gave a few words of opening to the event and introduced us to start with our participation.

Llegó el momento y nos llamaron a la tarima para hacer una breve prueba de sonido; este evento contó con un gran sonido que lamentablemente no se pudo captar bien en cámara porque se escucha muy saturado, para lo cual pido disculpas de antemano. Lo cierto es que en la prueba de sonido los encargados nos pidieron tocar una canción con sonido limpio en las guitarras y luego una con distorsión en las mismas, para ecualizar todo muy bien y así la experiencia sonora fuera la mejor posible. Luego la anfitriona dio unas palabras de apertura al evento y nos presentó para iniciar con nuestra participación.

The adrenaline went to the limit and we started to rock with fury, we played 4 songs in total to complete almost half an hour of presentation. We had a great time considering what happened to us the day before that had left us a little demoralized, however, this time we were able to make a more lucid and healthy catharsis to leave a good impression on stage. I will not deny that there were some technical details in the presentation since again the guitarist and bassist made some mistakes while playing, something that we later discussed as constructive criticism.

La adrenalina subió al límite y empezamos a rockear con furia, tocamos 4 canciones en total para completar casi media hora de presentación. La pasamos muy bien teniendo en cuenta lo que nos pasó el día anterior que nos había dejado un poco desmoralizados, no obstante, en esta oportunidad pudimos hacer una catarsis más lúcida y sana para dejar una buena impresión en tarima. No voy a negar que hubo algunos detalles técnicos en la presentación ya que nuevamente el guitarrista y bajista cometieron algunas fallas al tocar, algo que después discutimos a modo de crítica constructiva.

It was a privilege to play in this event where only bands with a long trajectory and that already had studio albums and music videos (something we did not have), the most important thing was that we managed to stand out and make those who listened to us enjoy. That day we collected more donations than the previous day's event and each band as well as the public present brought their contribution.

In short, we had a great time, we played in the afternoon and stayed until the end when Sexto Sonar played at 4 am. I come back and ask you friends... Fue todo un privilegio tocar en este evento donde solo tocarían bandas con mucha trayectoria y que contaban ya con álbumes de estudio y videos musicales (algo que no teníamos nosotros), lo más importante fue que logramos destacar y hacer disfrutar a quienes nos escuchaban. Ese día se recogieron más donativos que el evento del día anterior y cada banda al igual que el público presente llevó su contribución.

En resumen, la pasamos muy bien, nosotros tocamos en horas de la tarde y nos quedamos hasta el final cuando tocó Sexto Sonar a las 4 am. Vuelvo y les pregunto amigos..
