Iniciativa YouHive: Videos Musicales Favoritos (Parte 2) 🎙️🎸🎶📽️🔥❤️

Lit is a band that is still rocking the stages today, they have had iconic musical hits that have been soundtracks for movies even, however, a video that put them in the eye of viewers fast was this one. Playboy girls and rockstars of that time were something very common and close; Pamela Anderson, became very famous since she was in the Baywatch series and this band wasted no time and put this star in their video to make it unforgettable and indeed it was, what do you guys think of the video? 🔥🔥🔥

When I heard this song on the radio my mind exploded; that guitar riff at the beginning and the effect that the guitarist uses to give that sound, was new to me and I simply loved it, plus the song is too good and even now I can't get enough of it. After a few weeks of radio airplay, they released the video on MTV, I was fascinated because this band has always been amazing especially live. Hoobastank still exists and every album they have released is an immediate success, on the other hand the vocalist has collaborated with other artists and has sung for video game soundtracks such as Sonic Forces. The energy of this band and the way of composing music has been an important part of what I do on the guitar when I write my own songs.

While numetal was growing, a band appeared that made me hallucinate for their perfect sound, from the singer, to the instrumentation so neat and well executed. Incubus will never go out of style and I know that many people met them with this song, but in my case, I knew them long before. What has always been beautiful and exemplary about this band, is the sound; they always experiment and manage to make novel fusions that set a precedent before many other bands. I consider them too unique in what they do and they have such a powerful stamp of their own that when you hear them, you automatically know it's them.

Here we enter deep waters; this band is one of my all time favorites because they are one of those who know how to keep themselves in time without altering their sound. Seether always surprises, they know how to make music and this song itself was a great awakening in my conscience. If we analyze the song, it has few chords on the guitar and very simple to execute, that is what makes these guys great, with little they do a lot and they sound great. Their albums are successful, in fact they recently released one and it is very well done at all levels. This video surprised me because of its subject matter, that's why it connected so well with the MTV audience at the time. Personally this band is very close to what I like to do musically speaking, referring to sound mainly.

A band that made a big impact on the world rock scene was this one; Puddle of Mudd appeared with fury with a very aggressive and heavy song talking about toxic relationships and then brought to TV this song that automatically became a musical hit. The video was directed by Fred Durst (vocalist of Limp Bizkit) and told the reality of the vocalist who was going through a traumatic separation with his wife in those years. They practically improved Kurt Cobain's formula with Nirvana and managed to make amazing musical hits making them worthy of carrying the baton of the post-grunge genre with pride.

I wanted to leave this band last because of what it represents for me in many aspects. When I heard them for the first time they seemed to me a heavier and modern version of Hombres G hahaha... I say this because the vocalist has the same voice color as this Spanish band only he sings in English. The truth is that I met this band with this song, I loved the production of the video, the setting, the colors, the scenery and of course, the song itself because it is subtle, powerful and nostalgic. I always wanted to have a band like this and I tried in many ways to be like them when I made my own band, especially in how alternative they are but without losing the essence. Today Billy Corgan is still rocking the stages with the Smashing Pumpkins and I identify a lot with him because he himself directs the creative process of his band and I liked to do the same with my musical project.

Finally I bring you to close, the 2nd video I made with my band Teoría Cero in 2011. I loved writing this song and I feel that it is the most alternative song I have in my personal musical repertoire. I wanted to give it some neo-folkloric nuances to make it very original and the goal was achieved; the guitar game that José (guitarist) and I did was epic, achieving that the dynamics and tempo of the song was very particular during the whole performance. I wrote this song when I closed a love episode in my life that hurt me a lot, it was a therapy practically to bury that chapter and if you notice, the previous song that I put in the last post at the end, is also part of that process. To have made these 2 videos was a source of pride for us and for the director who made his debut in that role with us that day.

I really enjoyed making this post and remembering these great bands that motivated me to make music; I thank you for reading me and for rocking with these videos that marked a before and after in the way of rock and metal in general. Finalmente les traigo para cerrar, el 2do video que hice con mi banda Teoría Cero en el año 2011. Esta canción me encantó escribirla y siento que es la más alternativa que tengo en mi repertorio musical personal. Quise darle unos matices neo-folclóricos para que fuera muy original y el objetivo se logró; el juego de guitarras que hicimos José (guitarrista) y yo fue épico, logrando que la dinámica y el tempo de la canción fuera bien particular durante toda la ejecución. Esta canción la escribí cuando cerré un episodio amoroso en mi vida que me hizo mucho daño, fue una terapia prácticamente para sepultar ese capítulo y si se dan cuenta, la canción anterior que se las puse en el post pasado al final, es parte de ese proceso igualmente. Haber hecho estos 2 videos fue motivo de orgullo para nosotros y para el director quien se estrenó en ese rol con nosotros ese día.

Disfruté mucho hacer este post y recordar a estas bandas tan grandiosas que me motivaron a hacer música; les doy gracias por haberme leído y por haber rockeado con estos videos que marcaron un antes y después en el camino del rock y el metal en general.
