Hola a todos, mi nombre es Gustavo Jesús Socarras Meralla

Soy cubano, nacido en el seno de una familia humilde de amantes de la música, en un poblado del municipio Mariel llamado Central Sandino. Comencé mis pasos en la música desde muy pequeño escuchando cantar a mis padres y sus amigos, este amor que ellos sentían por la música me fue inclinando hacia ese bello arte que no tiene fronteras y es medicina para el alma.
A los 10 años de edad comencé mis estudios musicales con el piano como primer instrumento musical y luego unos años más tarde aprendí otros instrumentos.

Hello everyone, my name is Gustavo Jesús Socarras Meralla

I am Cuban, born into a humble family of music lovers, in a town in the Mariel municipality called Central Sandino. I began my steps in music from a very young age listening to my parents and their friends sing, this love that they felt for music was inclining me towards that beautiful art that has no borders and is medicine for the soul.
At the age of 10 I began my musical studies with the piano as my first musical instrument and then a few years later I learned other instruments.

Gran parte de mi carrera musical la utilicé haciendo música para la iglesia cristiana en cuba. Desde hace algunos años soy director musical y pianista de la agrupación cubana Kolao siendo nominado durante dos años consecutivos al mayor premio a la música otorgado en nuestro país que es el premio Cubadisco.

I used much of my musical career to make music for the Christian church in Cuba. For some years I have been musical director and pianist of the Cuban group Kolao, being nominated for two consecutive years for the highest music award granted in our country, which is the Cubadisco award.

I got to know this platform through several musician friends @isbelhiv02 for helping me enter to this community and @alvarezdunia @dayaperez who motivated me to participate and become another member of this beautiful musical community that is Vibes
