pointing to what @galenkp invites us to answer in the first part of his WE 192:

How was your week and more importantly, what do you have planned for the weekend?

For me they have been days of a lot of movement that I want to relate, experiences to fix them in my blog as a pleasant memory that fits what this proposal gives us.

I have been two weeks surfing between multiple work and personal commitments to begin to shape what the current year has in store for me, where I perceive these days are going super fast, not finished one thing to start doing something else at the same time, a situation that I assume with pleasure because I feel alive and with great joy to give, receive and ask.

January occupied me in a very good way, a month in which my life started off on the right foot, closing one cycle to start another. I proudly obtained my license to officially start teaching my Biodanza classes being this a dream come true ❤️ also the efforts after each rehearsal with my drummer sisters are starting to bear more fruits.

The commitments already fixed with the group of Tamboreras to which I belong began to manifest, it was thus that on Thursday February 01, 2024 we had our 1st trip of the year, from Caracas to Maracay, where we were entertaining an event in a prestigious hotel for more than 200 people to whom we made dance, sing, play and feel the drum with some Afro-Venezuelan rhythms.

That great ringing was the omen of gifts and good news, because on Monday we were called to liven up another event at the Expo - Government of Venezuela to be held in the open spaces of the cultural complex Poliedro de Caracas. Even with these remunerated commisions, I fulfilled my work agenda at the school where I work as a cultural teacher, preparing with my ecological brigade the recycling activity and exchanges to obtain cleaning products for the institution.

This week we had a strange rain and cold that lasted for three consecutive days, which enveloped a large part of Venezuela, causing havoc in different areas of the country. Even so the preparations for the Carnival season in which we are currently did not go unnoticed and more when the school children were waiting for it with much joy, so they had their party where those who were able to attend showed off their costumes in a parade that I prepared for them.

My colleagues, teachers and school management, have been enthusiastic for a long time and asked me to give them a Biodanza class on Friday, February 9th to close the week with enthusiasm, the little they knew about Biodanza was what I had told them at some point, So now with my license approved to teach these classes, I will gladly prepare a session of which they were delighted and relaxed, asking me to think about taking an afternoon of the week for them to receive these classes in our institution, a request that I am evaluating for the benefit of both them and me.

And for this weekend between 10 and 11 February 2024 I had a full agenda, in view that I would go to fulfill another drumming commitment in the State of Yaracuy, following an invitation in commemoration of the World Day of African Culture and Afrodescendants "ENCOUNTER OF ANCESTRAL WISDOM" in the community of Palmarejo Municipality José Jaquín Veroes, where we would meet the Drummers of IG: @herenciamujertambor with the Maestras Cimarroneras thanks to the movement for peace and Afrodescendant life.

This eventuality could not be carried out due to mourning, because one of the organizers died on Saturday, just when we were about to leave Caracas, was when the producer of the group received the notification, so we disembarked and decided to beat the drum in our rehearsal place in honor of this person of cultural good.

This is how this weekend I was free of commitment, more than with myself to rest and rearrange agenda, so I do not plan to go out this Monday and Tuesday of Carnival. Currently there is a lot of excitement and eventualities thanks to the collective celebration that prevails throughout the country, the truth is what I want is to rest and replenish energy for the coming days.
