Fall on me (Cover) by Eugelys (Esp-Eng)

Una de las actividades que me sacó de la rutina durante este año fue el tomar clases de teclado, fueron tres meses recibiendo dos horas de clases a la semana. Siento que con estas clases pude eliminar un poco ese límite que me he autoimpuesto con el teclado, yo considero que es un instrumento sumamente difícil y quería ver si podía sacarle algunas melodías, además quería constatar que podía llegar a cantar y tocar teclado al mismo tiempo.

One of the activities that took me out of my routine during this year was taking keyboard lessons, I took two hours of lessons a week for three months. I feel that with these classes I was able to eliminate a little of that limit that I have imposed on myself with the keyboard, I consider it to be an extremely difficult instrument and I wanted to see if I could get some melodies out of it, I also wanted to see if I could sing and play the keyboard at the same time.

¿Puede lograr esto mientras estaba en clases? ¡Pues no! Pero de igual forma le tomé mucho más amor a este instrumento que ya tenía mi completa admiración. Decidí no seguir en las clases, pues considero que debo tener algunas clases personalizadas para poder lograr avanzar en menor tiempo, la prisa a veces le gana al reloj. Así que para el año 2023 tengo la meta de ubicar algunas clases más personalizadas que me permitan avanzar en la meta de tocar teclado y cantar al mismo tiempo, hice varios contactos este año, pero fueron en vano.

Could I do this while I was in class? Well, no! But I still got to love this instrument that already had my complete admiration. I decided not to continue in classes, because I consider that I must have some personalized classes to be able to make progress in less time, the hurry sometimes beats the clock. So for the year 2023 I have the goal of locating some more personalized classes that will allow me to advance in the goal of playing keyboard and singing at the same time, I made several contacts this year, but they were in vain.

Unas tres semanas atrás me puse un reto musical el cual consistía en ubicar una canción en teclado y practicar hasta lograr cantar mientras tocaba el teclado. Recordé una canción que me gusta mucho que se llama Fall on me, la versión con la cual conocí está canción es la de Cristina Aguilera y A Great Big World, ellos generan dúos fantásticos y este es el segundo de ellos, luego investigando descubrí que la canción la cantan originalmente Andrea Bocelli y su hijo, ambas versiones son hermosas.

About three weeks ago I set myself a musical challenge which consisted of locating a song on the keyboard and practicing until I could sing while playing the keyboard. I remembered a song that I really like called Fall on me, the version with which I met this song is the one by Cristina Aguilera and A Great Big World, they generate fantastic duets and this is the second of them, then researching I discovered that the song is originally sung by Andrea Bocelli and his son, both versions are beautiful.

Con esta canción en mente busqué las notas por aquí y por allá y ami manera pude cantar y tocar teclado simultáneamente, es algo que me parece superdifícil, para mí fue un gran reto:

With this song in mind I looked for the notes here and there and my way I could sing and play keyboard simultaneously, it is something that I find super difficult, for me it was a great challenge:

Mi teclado es bastante básico, no tiene el mejor sonido pero de igual forma quise compartir con ustedes este cover.

My keyboard is pretty basic, it doesn't have the best sound but I still wanted to share with you this cover.

Estuve ensayando varias semanas, pero al final les cuento que no pude lograr la pieza de principio a fin, así que tuve que unir las dos partes. Esta canción tiene un puente que eliminé, pues quise hacerla lo más sencilla para una principiante como yo.

I was rehearsing for several weeks, but in the end I couldn't get the piece from beginning to end, so I had to join the two parts. This song has a bridge that I eliminated, because I wanted to make it as simple as possible for a beginner like me.

Para mí esta canción habla de la fuerza poderosa y edificante del amor, desde el espíritu y desde el ser. Teniendo como punto de partida dejar a un lado el temor para poder amar con libertad, para recibir el amor que cae sobre nosotros como una bendición.

For me this song speaks of the powerful and uplifting force of love, from the spirit and from the being. Having as a starting point to put aside fear to be able to love with freedom, to receive the love that falls on us as a blessing.
