Siempre he pensado que aquello que te gusta te consigue, que aunque no seas tú quien lo busques, esas pasiones te alcanzan de modos y en lugares insospechados. Saben que amo cantar y esta nueva experiencia coral está siendo lo que siempre soñé. Siento que estoy aprendiendo tanto en tan poco tiempo que cada ensayo es una clase magistral para mí.

Y así como este nuevo coro llegó a mi vida, también un hermoso lugar verde, que tuve el placer de conocer, me consiguió, sumándose a la música y de eso les hablaré dentro de poco. Por el momento quiero comentarles sobre algunas de las nuevas canciones que se han sumado al repertorio de la Cantoría. Yo no sé cómo es posible que muchas de las canciones que se suman sean temas a los cuales ya les he hecho covers o que ya conozco y que me encantan. Esto no era usual que me pasara en los coros anteriores, muchos temas eran desconocidos, hermosos, pero no estaban dentro de mi bagaje musical.

You know I love singing and this new choral experience is being what I always dreamed of. I feel that I am learning so much in such a short time that every rehearsal is a master class for me.

And just as this new choir came into my life, also a beautiful green place, that I had the pleasure to meet, got me, joining the music and I will tell you about that in a little while. For the moment I want to tell you about some of the new songs that have been added to the repertoire of the Cantoría. I don't know how it is possible that many of the songs that have been added are songs that I have already covered or that I already know and love. This was not usual for me in the previous choirs, many songs were unknown, beautiful, but they were not in my musical baggage.

Sin embargo, desde que estoy en la Cantoría, pareciera que cada canción nueva es un regalo para mí; de hecho, bromeé con el director hace unos días sobre eso y él, de modo jocoso, me dijo: Es que elijo las canciones que te gustan para que me sigas trayendo dulces sabrosos, y es que le llevé unos biscottis que le gustaron mucho. Pero claro está, que no es así, solo hermosas casualidades o más bien casualidades, y aunque no me quede claro, me hace muy feliz poder interpretar estas canciones como contralto, lo cual le suma una dificultad mayor y se convierten en retos geniales. ¿A quién no le gusta crecer cada día?

Una de las canciones es el Hymne A L'Amour, una canción que amo desde que me acerqué a la música de Edith Piaf, y si bien Celine Dion recientemente la puso en la palestra nuevamente, siento que no hay mejor interpretación que la de Piaf. Ese gorrión en su voz le da un toque supremo a la canción.

Otra canción es Para Siempre de Kany García, le cuento que cuando avisaron que esta pieza iba a incluirse me alegré muchísimo, pues desde que la escuché, se transformó en uno de mis himnos, una de esas canciones favoritas para cantar en karaoke o para hacer un cover. Es que la letra de esa canción sumada a su bonito ritmo, me hace sonreír al cantar con todo mi ser.

Y recientemente nos avisaron que estaremos cantando nuevamente con el dúo Senza Fine y que les acompañaremos en el coro de Como yo nadie te ha amado ¡Aquí morí de amor! Es una de mis canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos, esas que cuando la canto hacen que todo mi ser vibre. ¡La amo!

Claro está, no conozco todos los temas nuevos, por ejemplo, la canción que ven en la portada de esta publicación se llama El Dios que adoramos, no la conocía y es también muy hermosa, una exaltación a Dios.

Y antes de marcharme de estas líneas, les comento que después de uno de nuestros ensayos recibimos una invitación estupenda. Aquí es donde llega el momento verde e inesperado, pues resulta que en la azotea de la clínica donde ensayamos tienen un huerto ¡Sí un huerto! Por eso les digo que lo que amas te consigue, porque imaginen con lo que me gustan las plantas e ir a ensayar y poder disfrutar de un espacio verde que ya quisiera tener en mi hogar. ¡Miren este par de fotos!

Who doesn't like to grow every day?

One of the songs is Hymne A L'Amour, a song I've loved since I first got into Edith Piaf's music, and while Celine Dion recently brought it to the forefront again, I feel there is no better interpretation than Piaf's. That sparrow in her voice adds a supreme touch to the song.

Another song is Para Siempre by Kany García, I tell you that when they announced that this song was going to be included I was very happy, because since I heard it, it became one of my hymns, one of those favorite songs to sing in karaoke or to do a cover. The lyrics of this song added to its beautiful rhythm, makes me smile when I sing with all my being.

And recently we were notified that we will be singing again with the duo Senza Fine and that we will be joining them in the chorus of Como yo nadie te ha amado ¡Aquí morí de amor! It's one of my favorite songs of all times, those that when I sing it make my whole being vibrate, I love it!

Of course, I don't know all the new songs, for example, the song you see on the cover of this publication is called El Dios que adoramos, I didn't know it and it is also very beautiful, an exaltation to God.

And before I leave these lines, I would like to tell you that after one of our rehearsals we received a wonderful invitation. Here is where the green and unexpected moment comes, because it turns out that on the roof of the clinic where we rehearse they have a vegetable garden, yes a vegetable garden! That's why I say that what you love gets you, because imagine how much I love plants and going to rehearsal and being able to enjoy a green space that I would like to have in my home.
