El próximo 6 de diciembre estaré participando en el concierto de Navidad Al Niño Dios cantemos con la Cantoría José Antonio Anzoátegui; la mayoría de las canciones seleccionadas por el director son hermosas alabanzas para el Niño Dios, así que qué mejor nombre no puede tener este concierto especial.
Todo coralista sabe que la época decembrina es la más especial; hay mayor movimiento musical e incluso mayor cantidad de presentaciones que durante esta época, así que ya tenemos en agenda varias presentaciones y, sin duda alguna una de las más importantes será este concierto navideño, vamos a estrenar nuevo vestuario y accesorios, así que también tendremos nueva imagen además de mantener canciones de nuestros repertorio navideño del año pasado, estaremos sumando nuevos temas alegóricos a la bella época navideña. Cantar en Navidad tiene una magia especial para los coralistas; es una de las épocas más esperadas y entrañables para quienes amamos el canto coral.
On December 6, I will be participating in the Christmas concert Al Niño Dios cantemos with the José Antonio Anzoátegui Choir. Most of the songs selected by the director are beautiful praises to the Child Jesus, so this special concert couldn't have a better name.
Every choir member knows that the holiday season is the most special time of year. there is greater musical movement and even more performances than during this season, so we already have several performances on our agenda, and without a doubt, one of the most important will be this Christmas concert. We are going to debut new costumes and accessories, so we will also have a new image in addition to keeping songs from our Christmas repertoire from last year. We will be adding new songs allegorical to the beautiful Christmas season. Singing at Christmas has a special magic for choir members; it is one of the most eagerly awaited and cherished times of year for those of us who love choral singing.
La música venezolana navideña sale a lucirse y acompañada de instrumentros como la mandolina y el cuatro se siente aún más espléndida, por eso para este concierto de gala navideño se han invitado al ensamble Q-ajao para que nos acompañen en algunas de las canciones, una de ellas es Espléndido sol, una Parranda oriental, también estaremos interpretando una gaita amada por muchos venezolanos: La voy a tocar a pie y *Llega el hijo amado del Grupo Raíces de Venezuela.
Ensayar con este ensamble le aporta más aires navideños a las canciones e inyecta más alegría en los ensayos; son tantas las anécdotas de las que nos hablan los integrantes del ensamble, experiencias sobre las canciones vividas en interpretaciones previas y con grandes músicos como el venezolano Hernán Marín, quien recientemente falleció. Todo esto enriquece más el canto y la interpretación, expandiendo mi amor por el canto coral.
Las imágenes que les muestro corresponden a nuestro primer ensayo, muchas indicaciones nos fueron dadas, y es que cantar música venezolana representa sumergirse en una experiencia completamente diferente, hablamos de cantar algo que tiene que tener mucha alma y corazón, porque la música venezolana es tan particular que muchas veces ni se toca ni se canta como está escrita.
Venezuelan Christmas music comes into its own and, accompanied by instruments such as the mandolin and the cuatro, sounds even more splendid. That is why the Q-ajao ensemble has been invited to accompany us on some of the songs at this Christmas gala concert, one of which is Espléndido sol (Splendid Sun). an oriental Parranda. We will also be performing a gaita beloved by many Venezuelans: La voy a tocar a pie and Llega el hijo amado by the Grupo Raíces de Venezuela.
Rehearsing with this ensemble gives the songs a more Christmas feel and injects more joy into the rehearsals. The members of the ensemble tell us so many anecdotes, experiences about the songs they have performed in previous performances and with great musicians such as the Venezuelan Hernán Marín, who recently passed away. All of this enriches the singing and performance, expanding my love for choral singing.
The images I am showing you are from our first rehearsal. We were given many instructions, because singing Venezuelan music means immersing yourself in a completely different experience. We are talking about singing something that has to have a lot of soul and heart, because Venezuelan music is so unique that it is often not played or sung as it is written.
En nuestro segundo ensayo con el grupo Q-ajao, fuimos fusionándonos mucho más con ellos, todavía queda trabajo por hacer, pero sin lugar a duda cada vez será mejor. Me tiene bien emocionada este concierto navideño, amo cada una de las canciones y ser parte de esta noche navideña mágica será un gran placer para mí.

In our second rehearsal with the Q-ajao group, we blended in much more with them. There is still work to be done, but without a doubt, it will get better and better. I am very excited about this Christmas concert. I love each of the songs, and being part of this magical Christmas night will be a great pleasure for me.
