Cuando creo que no puedo tener peor suerte, la vida me sorprende y no en el buen sentido definitivamente. He intentado dar con una canción folklorica bonita, los que conocen mi país y mi estado, sabe que tenemos montón de canciones bonitas. La corneta que suele presentar fallas al estar funcionando por mucho tiempo y ahora casi ni quiere funcionar, más claro no pudo quedar cn este último intento de hacer el vídeo.

Just when I think my luck can't get any worse, life surprises me—and definitely not in a good way. I've been trying to find a nice folk song; those who know my country and my state know we have plenty of beautiful songs. The horn usually malfunctions after running for a long time, and now it barely works at all—it couldn't have been any clearer with this latest attempt to make the video.

Hola gente linda de la comunidad de HIVE OPEN MIC por acá @eudarcabello y esta vez para participar en la semana 323 que se titula Folklore. No quise dejar este post para último momento, siempre haciendo el maximo esfuerzo para mantenerme posteando a tiempo en la semana, esta vez lo intente capaz más que nunca, igual paso, espero mantenerme puntual de ahora en más, de verdad. Lo loco es que siguen las evaluaciones del postgrado siguen con fuerza, esto me lleva loco de verdad, a pesar de ya estar fuera de el por reprobar una de sus materias, tambien con el trabajo de grado, sigo medio perezoso, igual es un proyecto del trabajo actual. Así que aunque ya este fuera del postgrado de Biología Marina, aún su sombra me persigue, esperemos pronto acabe y ver si aparece otra oportunidad para otro postgrado. La canción seleccionada es capaz de las menos bonitas en contenido de la letras, pero refeja un poco más la cultura de acá, la verdad nunca me dedique a aprendermela del todo, pero es ahora cuando leí y me di cuenta que no era tan complicada de aprender su letra, como que siempre estuvo en mi cabeza, la canción es popularizada por mi cantante venezolano favorito Gualberto Ibarreto y titula "Guácara". No quise seguir pensando a ver si se me ocurria otra canción, conforme de como resulto mi elección para esta semana, o más bien lo poco que pude grabar, sin dudas necesitaba hacerla, capaz es dedicada a mi amor por la biología así que me pareció oportuno, a ver qué oportunidad me sale para aumentar mis estudios superiores.

Hi, everyone in the HIVE OPEN MIC community! It’s @eudarcabello here, and this time I’m participating in Week 323, titled “Folklore.” I didn’t want to leave this post until the last minute—I always do my best to post on time during the week, and this time I tried harder than ever, but it still happened. I hope to stay on schedule from now on, for real. The crazy thing is that my graduate school exams are still going strong—this is really driving me nuts. Even though I’m already out of the program because I failed one of my courses, and with my thesis, I’m still kind of lazy—though it’s actually a project for my current job. So even though I’m no longer in the Marine Biology graduate program, its shadow still haunts me. Let’s hope it ends soon so I can see if another opportunity for graduate school comes up. The song I chose might not have the most beautiful lyrics, but it reflects the local culture a bit more. To be honest, I never really made an effort to learn it all the way through, but it wasn’t until now, when I read the lyrics, that I realized they weren’t that hard to learn—it’s as if they’d always been in my head. The song was made popular by my favorite Venezuelan singer, Gualberto Ibarreto, and is titled “Guácara.” I didn’t want to keep racking my brain to see if another song would come to mind; I’m satisfied with how my choice turned out for this week—or rather, with the little I was able to record. I definitely needed to do this; maybe it’s dedicated to my love of biology, so it seemed fitting. We’ll see what opportunities come my way to further my higher education.
