Concert, fulfilled dream and musical gift

Hello to all the members of this community. This is my introduction to this community and I hope you will help me through it. I have not been here long, but I have studied some of the communities and here is my first post. I hope you like it.

After my retirement I have been able to fulfill several dreams, in reality there have not been many, but I can boast of feeling satisfactions that I wanted to achieve. Maybe because now I am much freer or because I have enough time to decide where I go or what I have fun with.

It turns out that I always wanted to be at a concert of a musician that I admire and always caught my attention. It is true that he is not one of the most promoted musicians in my country nor considered one of the best musically speaking, but that is why we human beings are different and sometimes what is good for some is not for others.

It turns out that, as part of my free time, I watch every day a program broadcast by Cuban television in which cultural events such as art exhibitions, ballets, plays and musical concerts are divulged. In one of the announcements made by the program announces the concert of this singer-songwriter that I have been following for some time. I left the lunch preparation and ran to the living room to see if I had heard correctly and, yes, the announcer repeated that this Saturday the singer-songwriter Elaín Morales and his guests would be at the National Theater.

I immediately called my husband and told him that on Saturday we were going out to a concert that we were both looking forward to and that if he had any commitments he should cancel them. When I told him who I was talking about, he told me that he agreed and that we already had the Saturday adventure.

The concert was scheduled for 8:30PM and at 6:30 and 17PM we were already at the theater. As expected we were the first to arrive and we took advantage of the waiting time to walk around the entire theater space that has four rooms and a very popular space for the public of the Cuban capital in which many cultural activities are made called the Singer Coffee.

When it was time to enter the concert, we went to our place and entered. The darkness of the hall overwhelmed us, but a few heart-shaped lights announced the beginning of the concert and the start of a magical night.

Several songs were performed by this young singer-songwriter and many of them were chanted by the concert attendees. In the theater there was a rainbow of people ranging from children to people over 70 years old. A whole show of love, poetry and musical caresses.

The audience asked for songs and the artist obliged. Between one song and another, the participants chanted and danced to the songs performed. Within these songs he was accompanied by an improvised dance troupe composed of boys and girls.
However, there was one song that many of us requested and he did not sing. Again and again I asked for it and he did not oblige.

On my insistent request he seemed to see me and said he would eventually perform it for me. I thought it was a joke. Nevertheless, I was shocked waiting for the end of the concert to come to see if he would please me.

At about 10:33 the curtain closed and people started to leave while others went to take pictures with the singer. At that moment he asked me if I wanted to listen to the song and when I said yes he sang it and dedicated it to me.
I can tell you that it has been one of the nicest gifts that I have received in my life and that I keep among the best moments lived in this 2023.
