Hello, amazing people of hive open mic. This week is a blessed week and appreciate hive open mic in a special way for finding me worthy to select this week's theme. The mind set behind the theme Traditional Music is to have people present songs that are of their local tradition, it is suppose to help us have encounter with other cultures of the world. Once again I appropriate hive open mic for giving this opportunity.

Hola gente increíble de Hive Open Mic. Esta semana es una semana bendecida y agradezco a Hive Open Mic de una manera especial por encontrarme digno de seleccionar el tema de esta semana. La mente detrás del tema Música Tradicional es que la gente presente canciones que sean de su tradición local, se supone que nos ayudará a tener un encuentro con otras culturas del mundo. Una vez más, me apropio del micrófono abierto de Hive por brindar esta oportunidad.

In this special day of the lord, I will of course be performing a traditional Nigerian song. To be specific, I will doing an Igbo praise tittled "agam aturu chineke mma mma". The tittle can simply be translated as "I will give God praise". This song is not associated to any specific musician as it is a traditional song that is generally used in Igbo churches and homes for worship. I went to YouTube to see if I could find any musician who have at least covered this particular song, but I found non. I guess I will be the first to do that😀.

En este día especial del señor, por supuesto interpretaré una canción tradicional nigeriana. Para ser específico, haré una alabanza en igbo titulada "agam aturu chineke mma mma". El título se puede traducir simplemente como "Alabaré a Dios". Esta canción no está asociada a ningún músico específico, ya que es una canción tradicional que se usa generalmente en las iglesias y hogares de culto igbo. Fui a YouTube para ver si podía encontrar algún músico que al menos hubiera versionado esta canción en particular, pero no encontré ninguno. Supongo que seré el primero en hacer eso😀.

The genre of music that I will be performing today is know as highlife. Highlife is very popular Afro genre, it is been practiced more in the western part of Africa. It is majorly characterised by sharp lead guitar lines. Since I do not have a lead guitar, I will be using a lead guitar voice from my keyboard alongside recorded accompaniment to cover this amazing song. I just hope you enjoy my performance today.

El género musical que tocaré hoy se conoce como highlife. Highlife es un género afro muy popular y se practica más en la parte occidental de África. Se caracteriza principalmente por líneas nítidas de guitarra solista. Como no tengo una guitarra solista, usaré una voz de guitarra solista desde mi teclado junto con un acompañamiento grabado para cubrir esta increíble canción. Sólo espero que disfrutes mi actuación de hoy.

Early this week I was miraculous saved from a terrible accident, I owe God all the praise. I am as a matter of fact dedicating my performance to God almighty. This is me praising him for his ever faithfulness upon me.

A principios de esta semana fui salvado milagrosamente de un terrible accidente, toda la alabanza se la debo a Dios. De hecho, estoy dedicando mi actuación a Dios todopoderoso. Este soy yo alabandolo por su siempre fidelidad hacia mí.

The original song is just a chorus and that is the lyrics above, but for the sake of this performance I will be adding a little freestyle to chorus. I just hope you enjoy my own version of that amazing song.

La canción original es solo un estribillo y esa es la letra de arriba, pero por el bien de esta interpretación agregaré un poco de estilo libre al estribillo. Sólo espero que disfrutes de mi propia versión de esa increíble canción.
