HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 185| IYAWO MI BY TIMI DAKOLO (COVER)

Hello guys! It's another new week of hive open mic and I am here once again to do my usual thing 😎. It's your boy @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be here once again. This week's theme for me is very interesting one, this is as a result of the fact that it captures my whole relationship with music. Yes, I am passionate about music and that is why I do what I do. On that note, I appreciate @utymarvel in a very special way for this wonderful theme.

With respect to the theme of the week, I will be doing a song I love so much. I will be doing Iyawo mi by Timi Dakolo. Iyawo mi (which means my wife) by Timi Dakolo is a hyper passionate love song. Expressing how much he cherish his lover, Timi Dakolo in the song Iyawo mi showered her with lots of sweet names.

Love is a beautiful thing and people are always passionate about the ones they love. Having said that, the reason behind my choice of song this week is the fact that Timi Dakolo expressed how passionate he is about his lover to the fullest in that beautiful song; and that is a complete definition of true love. As a matter of fact, it could be said that love without passion is no true love.

Originally, the song Iyawo mi is a complete Afro song; a song full of palm wine vibes😀. Speaking of beat, Iyawo mi is an Igbo high-life kind of song, but as for the lyrics, it a mixture of English and Yoruba. It is the song mixture for me😀. Doing the song on this special week of hive open mic, I will be doing an acapella version of it. I will be singing it with no beat, but as much as I can, I will try not to loose the high-life nature of the song. I just hope you enjoy my own version of that beautiful song. One love ✌️
