For some reason, this song has been on my lips for quite a while now, and I just feel the need to perform it this time. Having stated this, I will with regards to the week's theme be doing the song 'Some Have Food'.

Carnival for me is a time of great celebration, but such celebrations is often limited to those who are well to do. Beyond the financial aspect, someone hospitalized may not be able to participate in such celebrations too. The song 'Some Have Food' simply reminds us of how privileged we are for having been given the gift of health and wealth. The meaning absolutely goes beyond mere food; it gives reasons to celebrate, even as it reminds us that we are privileged to celebrate.

Para mí, el Carnaval es una época de grandes celebraciones, pero éstas suelen estar limitadas a los que tienen una buena posición económica. Más allá del aspecto económico, una persona hospitalizada tampoco puede participar en estas celebraciones. La canción "Algunos tienen comida" simplemente nos recuerda lo privilegiados que somos por haber recibido el don de la salud y la riqueza. El significado va mucho más allá de la mera comida; da motivos para celebrar, al tiempo que nos recuerda que somos privilegiados por celebrarlo.

We are to celebrate this week's 'Hive Open Mic' in a special way. I prefer to call it 'Hive Open Mic' carnival week. As we celebrate this music carnival, it's good that we recognize the fact that we are privileged to have been able to celebrate. As a matter of fact, we must give thanks to God for his gift of life and of wealth.

Esta semana vamos a celebrar el 'Hive Open Mic' de una manera especial. Yo prefiero llamarla la semana del carnaval de 'Hive Open Mic'. Al celebrar este carnaval musical, es bueno que reconozcamos el hecho de que somos unos privilegiados por haber podido celebrarlo. De hecho, debemos dar gracias a Dios por su don de la vida y de la riqueza.
