La La Land - Erin Hyvin (Original Song) VIBES Week 4

Happy Sunday,

This is my submission for the Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 4: La La Land, an original song from my debut EP 'It Was All A Dream.'

I wrote this song right after moving to Los Angeles. To me, the city seemed to have the freedom and energy I needed to become the person I wanted to be and felt like everyone found understanding and a true sense of home. I wanted to be part of that community and build a sense of belonging.

My music normally includes ethereal synths and more instruments, but this time I wanted to create a raw version and capture the pure essence of the song, with just an acoustic guitar – which is how it was originally written. So, I chose to sing the song in the middle of nature, and I think it's beautiful how the sound of birds weaves with the song.
