Scrobble.life

This week I said it's time to check out scrobble.life and see how it works. The platform is not new, has been functional and available for everyone with Keychain for some time, but I've been focused on other things and had no time till this week.

So on Tuesday, the 9th, I logged in and started to look around. My initial plan was to write movie reviews, but after some time I had to realize this plan has to wait a little for different reasons, but nothing is lost as I started scrobbling music instead. I'm among the lucky ones as I can listen to music or documentaries while charting and sitting on my hands, waiting for price to get to my area of business, so scrobble.life is perfect for me.

Not long ago I got my first automated activity card from the platform, which was a surprise as I had no idea this exists, but it was nice to see my activity, not that I was gunning for a prize or a place on the leaderboard.

They are still at the beginning, so opportunities to leave a mark, a footprint on the platform and help build it, are plenty. What I like the most is the opportunity to tie your name to a tune, a video, a movie, if you scrobble it first. Now obviously I'm not going to play music or videos all day, but it's nice to see what I contributed with.

The truth is, the music and entertainment industry is huge, we all have different taste and can widen the offer every single day by adding what we like.

With this occasion I updated my playlist as well, which was much needed and met a bunch of new artists that I'm going to check out soon.

There are still a lot to learn, I need to build my playlist on scrobble.life, which successfully deleted the other day, in the process of figuring out how it works. Also need to see how I can rate songs, videos, movies and actually write reviews.

Next week I'm going to add more, during work hours, when I'm at my desk.
