Como consumidora de música a penas escucho Stayin' Alive en seguida viajo a la película Saturday Night Fever ya que el grupo fue a banda sonora con esa canción, en la que vemos al protagonista John Travolta en discotecas haciendo pasos de baile increíbles convirtiendo tanto la película, como la música como un gran legado. Aún muchos de sus pasos siguen haciéndose, he podido verlos en otros géneros musicales incluso, soy muy amante de la música disco y esta es mi favorita entre todas.

Stayin' Alive tuvo su lanzamiento en el año 1977, mismo año que la película nombrada anteriormente, para el año 2019 durante la pandemia del Covit-19 se reproducía tanto en las redes sociales con personas de todas las edades, bailando, con muchas ganas de vivir, ya casi convirtiéndose en un himno: Por favor ¡Mantente vivo! Pienso que fue una de las cosas que más nos fortaleció la música revivió nuestros espíritus de tantas tragedias. La música nos unió nuevamente en un solo baile en el 2019.

Entonces díganme ustedes si es historia o si se mantiene. Mientras que en cada reproductor o corneta suene, no pasará de moda.

¿Por qué tan nasal, por qué el falsete?

En esta canción se puede apreciar a la voz del cantante muy normal,e s decir sin nada de falsete, en una melodía desgarradora y melancólica, bastante sería.

Recuerdo una vez muy reciente que me dedicaron esta canción de manera cruda para decirme que jugaron con mis sentimientos, a pesar de toda esa negatividad que encierra mi vida esta canción la aprecio, porque hay que ser valiente para decir, me equivoqué y lo que empecé como un juego, termino siendo algo muy serio, te lastimé, lo siento.

Sin embargo, hablemos de las letras de la canción, donde el compositor Robin Gibb sice que se inspiró en un vuelo de avión y esa sensación quizá de dejar un lugar y entrar en otro, dejar lo que amaba atrás, lo hizo tocar fondo y plasmar unas letras que en definitiva muchos pueden sentirse identificados, las letras de la canción hablan de alguien muy arrepentido por las palabras hirientes e inmaduras que pudo decir que dañaron a muchas personas que él amaba, parece que las leyes kármicas se cernieron sobre él.

¿Qué puedo decir de esta canción? Me encanta el significado de sus letras, hubiera deseado que alguien que amara y me hubiera amado me la hubiera dedicado extrañamente eso no sucedió nunca.
