Ice Cube is a West Coast hip hop legend who revolutionized the rap game in the early days. There is a strong belief that West Coast icons including Ice Cube and Snoop Dog helped to bankroll and fund the art of Hip Hop. If these early performers had dropped off before their road to greatness, who knows where the genre would be today.
Ice Cube is one of the favorite rappers of all time, and his style is authentic. He helped pioneer the industry and released his hit track "Check Yo Self" on The Predator in 1992. Cube dropped "Check Yo Self", "Today was a Good Day" and "No Vaseline" with the remixed beats of classic Funk songs. Cube's political and conscious songs examined inequality in our system and showcased the negative aspects of street crime and oppression. Cube was not one to pull punches, and often times violently exposed corruption that was prevalent in society and the rap game at the time.
Ice Cube has an aggressive style akin to Biggie Smalls, and his music fit the laid-back West Coast style with a bit more attitude. Cube began his career in the 1980s in the group NWA featuring Eazy E. NWA was commercially successful and put Death Row Records on the map, which opened the doors to hundreds of up and coming Hip Hop stars. As a kid growing up in the early 1990s, I was not Ice Cube's target audience, but I loved his music and was emboldened to confront bullies and learn about injustices around me.
There is no denying that Ice Cube helped setup gangster rap at the beginning of the movement. He was instrumental in it's popularity and his album "The Predator* has a unique style with samples from classic Funk, Soul and early Hip Hop records. I am a huge fan of Ice Cube as a musician, actor and trend setter in the industry. I grew up in an urban environment and was surrounded by fans of Ice Cube and definitely remember his music fondly.
Rising Star Talk:
Rising Star is a great game on the Hive block chain. The price of STARBIT is so low that it's easy to purchase millions of the token and use of level 50 "Starbits Millionaire" mission to stack the token.
It's not easy to make STARBIT tokens using the faucet by purchasing NFT cards that increase following. This is an opportunity to really enjoy games on the Hive block chain and I am continuing to learn more advanced strategies.
My claim and lesson cadence is working out well. I complete two lessons back to back and then a mission to earn some STARBIT tokens. The key to this strategy is to keep track of missions and lessons ending and to stack STARBIT tokens for use to purchase NFT cards that can further increase game earnings.
