Cypress Hill- A West Coast Hip Hop Powerhouse Group and my Risingstar Report 11/1/2023

Cypress Hill formed in 1988 in California, and was involved heavily in the West Coast Hip Hop movement. This group because famous at the time when Run-D.M.C. and the Geto Boys were getting set up on the Hip Hop scene. The West Coast had a distinct sound, and Cypress Hill was a charismatic and skilled group that crossed between Pop and Hip Hop seamlessly to set their mark on the genre.
Black Sunday, the group's second album, was released in 1993 and found commerical success. Their songs "Insane in the Brain" and "Better be Ready" were Billboard Hits, and Black Sunday was a certified banger. Their first album, "Cypress Hill" didn't do as well and the second album featured frenetic sampled beats congruent with the early 1990 West Coast style.
Cypress Hill's sampled funk and soul songs including "Son of a Preacher Man" for their beats and their sound was similar to other Hip Hop artists of the time including N.W.A. and Ice Cube. Their music is rather dark at times, and reflected the streets of California. Cypress Hill toured heavily with other bands at the time, and their members were well liked and received by fans as well. Cypress Hill's wild vocals and tracks are unique in their style.
Cypress Hill's lyrics often involved gangland violence and cannabis usage. The group's song "Mary Jane" highlighted their affinity for the subculture, and fans of Cypress Hill often enjoy the Kottonmouth King's work as well.

I hope you had a good Halloween 🎃. I keep playing Risingstar in the hopes that my Starbits payouts increase. This has been true. My strategy is now two mission claims followed by a music lesson to moderate my ego score and increase my Starbits payouts the next round.
I have also been focusing on record staking, and will buy some NFTs in the game soon too. Anything that adds passive income is great. I am currently at level 38, and am getting closer to the next round of missions and lessons.
