Breakin- A Classic Exploration of Break Dancing in the 1980s and my Risingstar Report 3/22/24

Breakin is a classic 1984 dance and music film that explores the wild and youthful world of break dancing. In the same year, Prince released his music film "Purple Rain" that was met with mixed reviews despite being commerically successful. The film showcases the music of the day which was heavily inspired by Disco and Pop Synth that evolved into Hip Hop of the 1990s.
The 1980s saw the rise of break dancing as an urban art form, and this film is worth viewing. Break dancing is a form of art where dancers in typically urban environments spin on cardboard and dance floors in acrobatic displays. Break dancing is almost like gymnastics, and the backdrop background music is inspired by Disco, with some songs including beats reminiscent of proto-Hip Hop. At the time, the airwaves were filled with polished New Wave music, Disco (as previously mentioned) and early Hip Hop. The culmination of these music art forms was the creation of Break dancing and pop and lock moves.
Ice-T has a cameo in this film, which is entertaining. The film showcased the stylings of new school Hip Hop and Disco influenced dancing that is acrobatic and youthful vs the "old school" style of dancing that was depicted as being stuff and technical. The film was commerically successful, but met with harsh critical critique and is widely regarded as unintentionally humurous. This movie is worth seeing, and I think you will enjoy the chemistry of the dancers and their dance competitions.
My Risingstar Report 3/22/24:
I have been working to improve my STARBIT claims from the mission faucets. This has been a journey of adding to my skill level using by performing music lessons. I have been focused heavily on record staking, which has been fun and is a bit of a gamble. The great things is the ability to withdrawal your staked STARBIT from the protocol if the staking proves unprofitable.
Aside from this, my goal for the end of 2024 is to make 3,000 Starbits per day from the faucet. I will continue to purchase NFT cards and invest into record staking as long as it is profitable. Next week, I will focus solely on music lessons to improve my skills and to reduce my ego score to maximize my STARBIT claims. This weekend will be mostly lessons with a few missions to claim Starbits.
