Greetings to all lovers of the miracle that is music. This is my first participation in #ThreeTuneTuesday and I thank @ablaze, from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity to share the music I love on Hive.
My gratitude to @nanixxx for being one of the lighthouses that guide and inspire me in my journey through Hive, thanks to her I am here now, with this publication dedicated to music. On several occasions, she has mentioned to me that she loves flamenco. I dedicate these three songs to her, hoping she enjoys them as much as I do.
In my country, Spain, it is a tradition that on January 6th, the Three Kings leave their gifts for those who have behaved well throughout the year. I must have behaved very well because they left me a vinyl record by Rocío Márquez and Bronquio: Tercer Cielo. A great gift. A good electronic music album on which Rocío Márquez provides the vocals and flamenco singing. A synthetic recording that sounds amazingly organic.
Rocío Márquez is one of the great figures of flamenco today, along with other women such as María Terremoto or La Tremendita. I have a very special connection with Rocío Márquez's work. Growing up in my house, flamenco has always been listened to, Marchena, Caracol, Valderrama, Meneses, among others. I have heard my father sing along to Marchena on countless occasions. When he left us, two long years of silence followed until one day, by chance, I paid attention to a voice, Rocío Márquez's voice, a voice that brought back the sounds of flamenco and the world of rhythm and melody.
As for Bronquio, the other protagonist of Tercer Cielo, I know little or nothing about his creations. Born in one of the sources from which Flamenco springs, Jerez, he seems to be one of the most prominent creators of Spanish urban music. He has worked with Kiko Veneno, Pablo Peña, Nita, 41V1L, among other artists.
Tercer Cielo is an album of contrasts, with the aroma of Holy Week, of resurrection. Among light and dark shines "De Mí" (Rumba), with a wonderful collaboration of 41V1L, or "Niña de Sangre" (verdiales), two songs that bring notes of light and freshness among other darker sounds, dense as the grain of an 8mm film. I can't fail to mention how well crafted the lyrics are, at an infinite distance from pop clichés, lyrics about life, love and death. Half sandpaper, half velvet. They are pure poetry:

I wouldn't like to leave without a deeper portrait of Rocío Márquez. "Empezaron los Cuarenta" is a version of a song published in a historic album by the singer José Menese: "Andalucía. 40 años" (1978). An album in which the poetry of Francisco Moreno Galván finds its expression in the firm and strong voice of José Menese. Rocío Márquez's version, accompanied only by the percussion of Roque Torralva, honestly gives me goosebumps.

Saludos a todos los amantes de ese milagro que es la música. Esta es mi primera participación en ThreeTuneTuesday y agradezco, de todo corazón, a @ablaze por la oportunidad de compartir la música que me gusta en Hive.
Mi agradecimiento a @nanixxx por ser uno de los faros que me guían e inspiran por mi andadura por Hive, gracias ella ahora estoy aquí, con esta publicación dedicada a la música. En varias ocasiones me ha comentado que ama el flamenco. Le dedico estos tres temas, espero que los disfrute como los disfruto yo.
En mi país, España es tradición, que el día 6 de enero los Reyes Magos dejen sus regalos a quienes se han portado bien durante el año. Yo me he debido portar muy bien pues me dejaron un disco de Rocío Márquez y Bronquio: Tercer Cielo. Un gran regalo. Un buen disco de música electrónica sobre el que Rocío Márquez pone la voz y el cante flamenco. Una grabación sintética que suena asombrosamente orgánica.
Rocío Márquez es una de las grandes figuras del flamenco de hoy junto a otras mujeres como María Terremoto o La Tremendita. Con la obra de Rocío Márquez tengo una relación muy especial. Siendo Chiquito en mi casa siempre se ha escuchado flamenco, Marchena, Caracol, Valderrama, Meneses, entre otros. A mi padre le he oído cantar por Marchena en innumerables ocasiones. Cuando nos dejó llegaron dos largos años de silencio hasta que un día, por un casual, presté atención a una voz, la de Rocío Márquez, una voz que me trajo de vuelta los sonidos del flamenco y el mundo del ritmo y la melodía.
De Bronquio, el otro protagonista del Tercer Cielo, conozco poco o nada de sus creaciones. Nacido en una de los caños de los que brota el Famenco, Jerez, parece ser uno de los creadores más destacados de la música urbana española. Ha trabajado con Kiko Veneno, Pablo Peña, Nita, 41V1L, entre otros artistas.
Tercer Cielo es un disco de contrastes, con aroma a Semana Santa, a resurrección. Entre claro-oscuros brillan "De Mí" (Rumba), con una maravillosa colaboración de 41V1L, o "Niña de Sangre" (verdiales), dos canciones que aportan notas de luz y frescura entre otros sonidos más oscuros, densos como el grano de una película de 8mm. No puedo dejar de mencionar lo bien trabajadas que están las letras, a una distancia infinita de los tópicos pop, letras sobre la vida, el amor y la muerte. Mitad papel de lija, mitad terciopelo. Son pura poesía:

Esta obra electrónica, quizás a los “puristas” del flamenco no les guste, pero musicalmente y fuera de etiquetas, es conmovedora.

Buenos días mi queridísima Amonet, no me extraña que no la conozcas, el flamenco es un circuito musical de minorías, creo que incluso en Andalucía. Por aquí vemos bastante la televisión andaluza y el flamenco es un protagonista de segundo o tercer orden, lo que hay es mucho "flamenquito" y poco flamenco. Sobre las letras, este trabajo es espectacular. Espero que en esta comunidad pueda ir subiendo cositas y que se pueda ir conociendo el flamenco más allá de Camarón y Paco de Lucía. Gracias @avdesign por la visita.
